Bad idea to get visable tattoo?

I was planning on getting both inner forearms filled with color, just made the appointment for 20 days from now but I'm doubting my decision. May change spots but curious on others opinions on the matter. Is it really that off putting for employers? Anyone out there have visable work they regret?

I think it depends a lot on the specific employer and type of career you're involved with.

Personally, I don't care about tattoos...but I'm not hiring the guy with a visible YOLO tattoo

I have a secondary wedding ring tattooed and a wrist tattoo. Usually I cover them up with my actual wedding ring and a watch. I had this in mind when I got them. I don't see why it would be a problem but it depends on your career and the content of the tattoo. Just my two cents.

I used to be a junkie, covered up my track marks with tattoos to get a job. Long sleeves are great, just don't wear light colors and do an issue! What were we talking about?

It all depends on the type of work you do , if you work in a factory as a labourer or tradie then it dosn't matter one bit about tatts.
You will find your boss prob has more than you anyway .
Differant story if you do good will speaches at the local childrens hospital , or work in a really important company where you travel alot to get work and new clients.
Just my view ....

Try to be a lawyer with a tat on your neck.
LOL
My body is not somebodies canvas though a private tat is no problem.

Tats are a fad.
People didn't like the idea of ID chips implanted under their skin for personal ID, so
the govt worked out a new plan that was "cool".
Tats!
They make you personally identifiable.

NWO needs to know who you are and how much you are worth.

Oh, and no, I wouldn't get one.

thanks guys I was just mad dabbed out & was having second thoughts. Definitely going through with it. Its gonna be all cannabis related, a sort of mural I drew out myself. Hoping to be in the cannabis biz for my life it makes me happy so I don't see it mattering then.

I decided not to hire someone to work for me because of a neck tattoo that said 'Get Money'

I was thinking of getting a tattoo that reads
no regerts, with a line through it
no ragrets, with a line through it
no regets, with a line through it
no regrets

What do you guys think???

i think, tattoos are becoming more socially accepted, you should be fine as long as it isnt vulgar, or inappropriate .
I have visible tattoos and they havent stopped me from employment s
some dude did like a photography thing, about high paid working professionals with tattoos

I know many a professional that has tattoos and piercings. I've gotten surprised looks when I've taken my shirt off.

My view is that how can a person say these are my views and self expressions you have to accept them unconditionally but if you want to hire me just disregard them.

I'm always looking to gain insight on people. License plate holders are a great clue on whose around and where they are from for example. Mary Jane across your knuckles may prevent certain doors from being opened, but if the individual is ok and aware of it, then it's a moot point.
