Bad week for Trumptards out on the town

Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Canada all are have more socialist programs than the US. The people living there are happier, healthier, enjoy more social mobility and are better educated. Why can't the people of the US benefit from their experience?
I've been saying this for a decade now.

The conclusion I've come to is that we are too stupid to learn any other way but the hard way.

Question is too vague for a yes or no. America is not a monolith.

Specifically, which Americans are you talking about?
Not a monolith but trends and averages are clear.

I don't think most Americans care- and that's part of the problem.

OK, clear enough. The "average American" is not a monolith either. I'd say for some, yes and some for some, no. I have no idea what the proportions are.

Now that we've gotten through your leading question that really did not depend on my answer, what is your point? Pick whichever groups you want, those average Americans that do look forward and those that don't.

i don't think it's that most americans don't care, i think they've made the whole process so fucking complicated and boring that the average person falls the fuck asleep before they ever get a chance to understand anything.
campaign reform is badly needed, and not just financial reform. no more negative ads. you shouldn't be able to say or imply anything about your opponent, ads should have to be about you and your plans.
no more campaign contributions. at all. period. the people who win the primaries get equal funding, it's up to them how they spend it.
the position of lobbyist needs to be outlawed, and any politician found to be favoring a particular business needs to be trounced the hell out of office the same day, and the business SEVERELY fined....
just cut out all the bullshit, streamline things, make iron clad rules and give absolutely no slack on them....otherwise, it's all a pile of bullshit with different faces floating on top

Some good ideas here but many that would not survive legal scrutiny.

I completely agree about getting money out of politics.

So, what German resistance violence was perpetrated against Hitler and his Nazis in the 1930's caused WW2? I'm still wondering what you were talking about.

I'm pretty sure he's gonna pull this one out for his re-election campaign.

I doubt it will work.
He would lose his current base. You aren't getting legal weed with Trump. States are on their own.

I'd just wait for the left to divide its self even farther.

His current base is fine with every moral, legal and ethical transgression he's made so far, so I don't think it's a stretch.

As far as the division of the Democratic Party, I agree. Until the DCCC and the DNC figure out that taking corporate cash loses elections (I'm sure they'll be dragged to this conclusion by the very corporate and donor class contributors they're taking money from), this divide will continue to deepen.

More and more Progressive Movement candidates are winning races across the country, often against well established opposition.

These things take time, but the rate of change is encouraging.

More misrepresentation.

I said no such thing and you know this. Your desperation to smear any Progressive Movement member is telling.

I said that violence against Nazis and Brownshirts did not stop those movements and in fact was used by these movements to gain credibility within Germany and Italy.

It's up to you to actually do some research on the history of these movements instead of just whining that the first page of Google results doesn't tell you all about it.

As for the continued insinuation that I'm somehow sympathetic to them because I refuse to subscribe your thuggish prescriptions, you are cordially invited to GFYS

I'm not dragging the idiotic Progressive (TM) movement into this. I'm just asking what violent actions against Hitler's Nazi party are you talking about?

The Beer Hall Putsch was an attempted coup against the German Government. Hitler was jailed for that. Is this the "violence" against Nazis you are talking about? What government wouldn't take action against the perpetrators of a violent coup? Even then, Hitler got hotel-quality accomodations, a personal assistant/secretary, visitors and who knows? Maybe a personal chef? Then released early. He was treated with kid gloves. Talk about giving the man credibility.

Industrial capitalists backed Hitler's Nazi party and fed thousands of otherwise unemployed members of the brown shirts in military-style camps during the depression. They were used to crack the back of the Communist party and eventually the COMMUNISTS were eliminated through violent actions by Nazis while the government looked away.

So, I'm asking. Specifically, what violent actions taken against Nazis are you talking about? Other than the Beer Hall Putsh, that is. Or are you talking specifically about that?

There were many violent actions taken against these movements. They were put down by the organisations themselves, often with help from law enforcement.

The Beer Hall putsch incident only resulted in Hitler's hailing because it was a direct action against the government.

Krystalnacht was violent action by the Nazis to make it clear they were in charge and that no more violence against them would be tolerated.

You have tried many times to change the subject.

I've said that violence will not stop Nazis. Your pathetic defense of such thuggery amounts to, 'but WWII'!

You'll notice that American police forces often look suspiciously like they're on the side of neonazis during rallies and marches. Why aren't you calling them out? Even their fraternal organization spokespeople openly advocate for authoritarian tactics.

Id wait until they say who they are pitting against Trump before anyone feels encouraged. Game show host took down a Clinton, who shouldn't have got the nod in the first place.
