baking soda and dish detergent cleans plants

an old lady at walmart told me a teaspoon of baking soda and a teaspoon of detergent mixed with water in an spray bottle will clean plants and make them healthy just like fertlizer. anyone ever heard of this????

im sure theres some truth in that. I remember seeing a guy make a tea that involved one of the liquid dishwater soaps and he swore it worked....but the baking soda i dunno bout that one

I believe the baking soda is used to adjust the PH

seems to be making my plants liven up. saves money also. besides that the bugs dont like it!
