Hmmm, I am posting a couple of pictures of the jars I am using to cure my buds.
The small one is my favourite and the best type of jar you can use.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bit of bud in here was dried for about 4 days (maybe 5 I forgot).
It felt dry so I put it in the jar yesterday.
It isn't damp but it does feel soft so I have had the jar open all day.
I will close it tonight and leave it for another 12 to 18 hrs and feel it again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The little jar above is known as a kilner jar but, so is the one below. So beware if buying online.
This one has biscuits in it but I have a few of these that I can use.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you can see this is different.
You have a glass top that you then screw down with the metal ring.
Good jars but I'm not sure where to get them here in the UK.

Congratulations on your harvest Barking, looks really awesome mate. Well done to you, I'm sure your over the moon :) I reckon they should do fine in the cupboard there. BTW, I have some of those kilner jars in various sizes for my pipe tobacco - they keep it fresh for ever (pipe tobacco gets better with age though). I reckon they'll do nicely for buds, so my tobacco will have to find a new home ;)

Woo hoo! It's harvest time!
At long last.
I'm not sure why I am so excited because the waiting isn't over yet.
This grow has taken about 5 months so I am not going to rush the drying and ruin it.
Ivy's curtain call.

Say goodbye everybody.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Here's the end result.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am hanging my buds in this cupbord.
At the bottom is a small desk-fan blowing air out under the door.
Is this a good or bad idea? I don't know.

----------------------------------------------------------------
The bud on the far left hand side is fatter than the rest.
That's because it came off Biga, it snapped the branch and was hanging down when I put the lights on this morning.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a close up of the fan.
You can see it's small (about 4"), should I put it outside blowing in.

The brown paper is in case anything falls and to help absorb moisture.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One final question to anyone who has an idea.
How dark does it have to be?
Can you get away with light coming through the door crack?

gott bump the pics, looks nice man rep ya if i can lol

Thanks Mr West.
I think out of the three plants Ivy has the least so, the next two should have a little more.
They both have amber trics now but not quite enough of them to harvest.
They might have both had their last feed now though!

Hi barking good job there! Thanks for all the pics too, cleared a few things up for me. Bet you can't wait now lol. I did wonder why people seem to say the last bit is the hardest, but now i unerstand you just wanna go chop some off and quick dry it well i do anyways. How's alice doing? Maybe i'm a bit slow and missed something lol. I remember when she was a little baby though! So i was just wondering how she is now? I would give you some rep, but aparantly i have to share the love around first lol.

Thanks cheetah. I'm looking forward to hours of fun with this.
Still a bit of waiting to go but I am oh so close.
When i can sit and have a hit of finished, dried and cured bud.
Then I will put my feet up for a week and enjoy.

Yes Alice is still in my grow room.
She was a favourite of mine and a few others too.
Unfortunately, both she and Genie look like they will disappoint me.
Neither of them have many trics and you can only see them under the scope.
Also, Alices buds are really thin because the pistils are like fine hairs.
Genie hardly smells at all and Alice, although it's not a strong smell,
it is really dank. The trouble is, it's dank like a stale dishcloth and not the earthy smells that I like.
I will let them finish but I'm not expecting any fireworks.
The worst thing is about 7 or 8 of my clones are from those two plants.
I thought Genie was a G13 but must have mixed up the seeds on day 1.

Here's a couplke of pictures of Alice.
These were taken 3 weeks ago I will try to get some new ones tonight.

I am training the top because of the height issue.
Her clones are growing twice the rate of the others too but
it looks like they will be getting thrown out.
