Id let him flower them out all pathetic style and then give him new clones and coach him through a second grow. That way he'll know just how much he sucks and how much he needs your help - easier to get meds off him in the future that way ;)

haha well i plan on giving him clones anyways. he is actually one of the few friends i have that will go out pay $50 for a 1/8th come to my house smoke 1 with me and leave 2 more for me when he leaves

Whether or not you share your soil enhancements is up to you, but I would def convince him to put them on 18/6. Seeds are one thing, they have built in nutes to hold them over till their roots gets established. Clones are just out there and helpless. They need good light and a chance to get their "feet wet" so to speak.

Explain that he needs to help them get established and offer what you can. If he takes your advice, he'll grow better plants. If he doesn't, then you've done your duty by him...let his weed suck.

he is definatly open to advice, he comes ove rregularly and see's what i have going, i dont hide my shit from my friends cuz the people i let in my house i unconditionally trust until they give me a reason to not asnd then they cancell our friendship,. i dont have friends i cant trust, if you cant trust a friend they are not your friend and thats my philosophy. back on track now

he will gladly take my advice, i feel bad because he has been growing these plants since July lol and i just never made my way to his house to check out his setup, now that i have seen it i will hook him up and he will grow great weed :)
 
nothing much new, my light and tent should be here today (at least thats what UPS traqcking says) my bean should be here no later than wednesday. i have a few items to pick up to get things rolling, going to setup the tent as a flower tent and do some modifications to the cab,

so heres a scetch of what i plant on doing with the vegg cab, the ScROG project is going to take about 2-3 months to vegg out (maybe less im really unsure) before it is ready for the flowering room, during this time i will be able to cut a couple clones every 2 weeks to get ready for the flowering cab to start the perpetual.

right now i can fit 8 smaller containers in the space i have allowed myself, so if i cut 1 clone every 2 weeks (1 dew 1 blue cheese) by the time i get all 8 spots filled up i should have 2 plants that have been vegging for 8 weeks, is this too long in vegg? i mean it will eventually only be 6 weeks because it takes clones about 2 weeks to root and establish right? so my original plant from seed may be pretty good sized but 6 week veg from clone sounds about right.

thoughts and suggestion? i will be taking out my carbon filter so i can move the lights up to the top of the cab wich will give me an dextra 6 inches of vertical space..

ill post some pics later tonight once i get the tent and light all setup :)
 
Mine were in veg for almost 8 weeks bro. I don't see a problem with that! Can't wait for your shit to arrive!!! I gotta figure out making a veg box asap for my clones!! Wishing I had a tent on the way :(
 
speaking of UPS man just knocked on my door :) tent and light are both here. will post some pics of unwrapping. im excited!!!!

dud tent was only 100 bucks, can find em even cheaper than that (like 80$) not sure what your finacial situation is but it was cheaper for me to buy a tent then it would have been to build something.
 
Yeah, I suppose your right. It isn't that expensive. I really like the rigidity of my diy box, not to mention the added soundproofing I get with the plywood. I think ill spend 20$ on the plywood to just build a veg box. I save 50-100$ on shipping and ill get to customize it how I please....tents look so clean though...I don't know yet :)
 
well started unboxing the light and the babay started crying.....of course, he shit himself :puke: anyways finally got all the light unwrapped......fucking MH bulb is broken /sigh. its just a little bit of glass off the tip the rest of the guts look to be in tact so im hoping i dont have to return it.

ill be setting up my tent shortly ill let you know my honest opinion :) im not verry handy so builing shit always turns out bad for me
 
you can see the break in 2nd to last pic img 3268. if someone could tell me if this is going to effect the bulb i would appreciate it. all the guts seem to be in plce and secure so......i just dont feel like return shipping it but will if i have to
 
I've read that there is often loose glass towards the base due to some step in the making of the bulb - in those cases the bulb is generally fine but might make a rattle noise. Never seen a chip like yours though... Might take a picture and e-mail it to them and ask. I wouldn't be surprised if they told you to just try it and if it's no good they'll send another.
 
I can't tell from the photo but if the glass is missing/cracked I would think that you've lost all your gases in your MH bulb. I don't think it will work properly, its just going to be running a current through your filaments but not activating the gases that you need/want.

You can use your HPS bulb in the meantime for both vegging and flowering.
 
its not the outside glass, its part of the guts in the bulb, they use glass to hold everything together. i guess ill e mail them with pics and see what they say.
 
heres the tent, it was pretty easy to setup, it is a bit big for my room but ill figure it out. the material is not of the highest quality but decent.

i do like the fact that there are lots of ventialtion ports on the tent.

Looks great! That's a 3x3? Looks like a near perfect fit for the hood - you are going to want to lower it though if possible. Or raise your plants - makes it a bit easier on your back.
