BBG (Baisic Bagseed Grow)

alright im a little pissed. my light was scheduled to be delivered monday BUT i checked it today and it said "Scheduled for early delivery" it was supposed to come today. well it didn't.....really...you should have just left me to believe monday, got my hopes all up to get to check out my light and NOTHING WTF!!!!!!


on a side note. i mixed up some pro mix, perilite, Hyponex potting soil, happy frog fert, a small amount of garden lime (verry small) and some of my worm castings, though not fully decomposed i got a nice sample after digging around for a bit. PH meter reads 7.0 but the meter seems to be junk so im going to be taking it back and getting a better one, probally the soil test kit that comes with the drops.

i went to water the promix mixture and it seemed to drain like shit, is this common for pro mix, noticed the hyponex dosent drain well either maybe i will leave that out next time, only mixed about 4 solo cups worth. got a few beans soaking right now going to toss em in the new mix and let em go 12/12 from seed. i really just want to see how they grow in this soil makeup to make sure i dont have any issues, if they are female and flower then i lucked out :)
 
im imagining a micro SOG in solo cups, possible....opinions. the cups are a little bigger than solo cups but what kind of yeild do you think 30 solo cups will give on a micro perpetual? then i will be able to fuck with more strains at a time and still keep the clone/flower tent
 
I would go with 2 liter bottles over solo cups. Should be able to get an oz a plant with the 2 liters. Solo cups just sounds like a pain to keep the proper moisture without drowning the plant too often or let it dry up too much.
 
good call they are both pretty close to same diamater. just cut the top off .....hmmmm.

im so confused as to what i want to do. there are way too many options to grow pot lol
 
already have 3 cups with soil in em and 3 beans soaking. see how they do this round 12/12 from seed in a beefy solo cup :)

i really just want to see how they grow in the new soil mix, im hoping for nice lush plants, nop burns no issues just GROWTH!!


later down the road i do think im going to implement the 2 litre bottle as its a inexpensive alternative to what im using now and its bigger


haha im drunk but gonna try to grow a plant in a 1 pint JD bottle. will fill it with mix and plant the bean....pics in a min

ok so after a pint of JD and a 6 pack of 16Oz brews i didnt make it to pics last night hehe :)

on a posotive note my worms and my last textbook for school arrived this morning, ordered them from WormsEtc and the worms were small but they came in a nice package and 99.99% of them were alive, i think i found 2 dead worms out of 1Lb

heres some pics of my drunken adventure last night. i have 4 beans planted again and i have no idea what im going to do with them, they will stay 12/12 from seed 3 of them is to see how my new medium is going to work and the 3rd one is planted in a JD bottle. no high hopes for it but i think it will make a cool gift LOL

my light and tent are scheduled to be here on monday. my seeds have made it through customs and have been processed through the sort facility in NYC so im estimating wednesday they will be here. alot to do next weekend.

Congrats on the new tools! I love tools... and soldering irons rock! I used to solder mod chips on Playstation (original) motherboards to mod the system for playing copied games. I was bad... my 7 year old son (at the time) had over 120 playstation games! I modded his unit, then bought myself a 2x CD Writer, which at the time cost me over $400 and I copied every game I could get my hands on.

Since then, I have found soldering to be invaluable in wiring! You solder those wires together and then wire caps become just pretty adornment rather than actually holding electrical stuff together.

I have mixed opinions about this. My granddaughter has seen my plants and I've decided not to make an issue out of keeping her away. She is only 2-1/2 and she doesn't put a lot of things together, but I let her come in the back with me when I'm working back there. To her questions (which are few at this stage), I just tell her its Grandma's medicine. She's good with that and just wants to look at the plants and offer them sips of her juice.
 
Doing a lot of different strains can be challenging as they will require different nutes, watering, feedings, and will grow at different speeds and heights and widths. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, I'm just saying it will be a challenge. Sounds cool!

I eat Blue Bunny ice cream around here and it comes in really nice 1.5l plastic containers. I'm thinking of doing an "Ice Cream" grow and filling several of these oval plastic buckets with plants.

yeah i wish i could let the kids be involved. but one is 8 going on 9 and oither is 4 going on 5 and they definatly know whats going on. i really dont think they would rat me out i just feel it is beeter to keep them away especially the 8 year old where his little mind is so influenced by the things mom and dad do. if my kids end up smoking pot i will not be judgemental but i will also do everything in my power to keep that influence not coming from me. i dont think smoking weed is bad but in the ages of 10-20 it is a gateway drug, i dont care what anyone says once someone become comfortable smoking pot "doing drugs" they are more suceptable to trying others and in this day and age where pharmacudicals are overtaking peoples lives i just dont want to deliberatly open that door

edit: i say mom and dad but i should say step dad as only 1 of the 3 are mine biologicly, that dosent mean shit tho :)
 
so i gave a friend of mine some clones from my summer grow. HE still has them, under terrible light and on 12/12 despite the fact that they are less than 1 inch tall. i went and seen his OP yesterday and i gave him a few pointers, told him to go back to 18/6 and find a good sized opt and just plant them in the same pot, they are all female and actually have tiny buds on them right now.


so my question: have him revegg and give him a couple of my bulbs and mix up my "super soil" for him, have him transpant and revegg for a month or 2 then flip or just let him be to grow some amazingly shitty plants? i feel obligated to give him someof my bulbs and get him on the right track

still got about 6 weeks left, i started thier flower period when i seen the first pistol about 2 weeks ago.

just dug through the new beans i planted got 1 cracked and another with a tap root!!!! hoping by the end of the day i can put up a pic of the seedlings. these are all just a test to see how my soil does. i tested the medium for PH, Nitrgen, Potash and phosphorus, all levels are perfect except the phosphorus, im wondering what a organic way to increase the phosphorus levels is......have to look it up and ammend it in my next batch. tent and licg coming in on monday and beans should be here by tuesday. bet your ass imma be breaking out the plates and paper towels, im just too fucking impatient to not start some beanz :)
 
bahaha very nice, glad to see things are going well for u! I cant wait to see some pics of the new set up! I ordered a handful of seeds as well and will start the Germination process tomorrow! Going to plant 2 more and hopefully be able to take LowLa out here soon! Regretting pot size i used for her lol!
