I like the look. If I were selling them then I would probably go after that clean cut look. My issue with the bcblondes is the misrepresentation in that link. I hate overpriced hyped stuff. Turns me off in a big way. And most of the shit in this field is overpriced. Look at aero cloners or hydro setups for example. Those margins are through the roof. Or like going to a grow shop and everything is msrp. Although most will give a 20% discount, it typically can still be found elsewhere for less. People obviously buy it though.

it has the CXA2540 though... i thought everyone was CXB3590 or bust?

We use cxa2540 at 36-37 watts each. Efficiency is good and as well as spread. Honestly I wouldn't want too much more light than this produces from a single fixture. @18" it's >1700 umol at center. Should be run at 24" . Discount code is in affect as well as free shipping.

i have ordered one of the bcblondes lights. mostly due to the fact it is in canada. and once you factor in exchange and shipping across the border it is about the same price as the cx16 but has 3590s supposedly CD bin pulling 900w. no disrespect to JGL, i am sure your lights are kickass. i should have it in a few days and will do a journal on my first grow with one. i have been wanting a cob led for a while now.

I believe you gotchur self a good light.
But we're all waiting to find out. Everything reads good about it. Now it's all about how it feels in your hands. Build quality & truth to the components.
I bet it's good though & less money then Pre-Fab DIY. It's allota cob in one box but w/ those reflectors it should have a great spread & won't be to intense. So, a nice happy medium.
Can it stay cool enough is the question!
I don't see why not. I doubt it's overcrowded w/ drivers like most Chineese lights.

Which begs the question, how are they getting 900w out of their lights when theirs only 800w max driving them? They have alright marketing at least.
Also, active cooling is not necessarily an energy waste.
