Bear problems?

What have people done in the past with bears, specifically black bears?
Encountered one and decided to F off, saw a few dumps from it and can tell you 100% it was a bear.
Its a prime spot, open, water source and everything imaginable, just the bear aspect to it I don't like.

Any advice?
I'm thinking bear mace.

Dont bring women to your grow site. Bears can smell the menstruation.

I have a lot of camping type people in my office and this conversation comes up a lot. They absolutely SWEAR by the "Act big" method of scaring a bear off. I see it a lot on TV too. I say go in with that mentality but have the bear mace as back up.

Lets see what everyone else says. I just saw an opportunity to tell a stupid anchorman joke and decided to jump on it. =P

You can bait it to move to other areas with female bear urine. You could try to ward it off with male bear musk (but that might piss him off) I would honestly get a gun. Leave him alone if he leaves you alone. Barb wire around your shit. Don't do fireworks in the forest... Smokey the bear would shit a brick

Exactly fireworks would make him shit bricks and hopefully F off and then if he comes near me I unleash the roman candles barricade

Smokey the Bear would be upset by the lack of safety but if he knew why you were setting them off, he'd forgive you.

I mean...c'mon...a cartoon bear named Smokey? We know that fool was smoking teh weedz!

I dont even think the bears will notice. If they do, it'll only scare em off for a few moments.

Bear Bells

Small bells that you wear and when you move the make noise that scares Bears away

Keep Bear Spray on your person just in case

Don't pop fireworks, just spread black powder(gun powder) around.
Most creatures will not come around. You don't need people hearing fireworks off in the woods one day. That's the kinda thing thatd make me come looking with pistol in hand if it were my land.

Just a thought.
