Been a Long Time Coming ~ Been a long Time Gone

Its great to see somebody really thinking about their grow, not just doing what the website tells them. Of course following good advice is nothing to be ashamed of, but creative thinking is really gonna push this science forwards.

This is like the summer doldrums - I get all excited in the morning to see how much the family grew during the lights out period.

Good news is that, it appears the bat shit is working. I used warm water to totally dissolve a tablespoon of guano and then added it to a gallon of ph water.

Got some really nice looking new growth on the tops of 3 of them. It even appeared to perk up the 3 who are lagging very far behind.

started germinating more seeds today. Got some bag seed from a friend. This is gonna be great, trying to grow males so they can have sex with the little girls and produce, little CFL loving babies.

With my luck, I won't get any males, they all will be girls.

Eye Candy

While stumbling thru Home Depot yesterday, I found this in the heating dept.

$20. Whooo baby, this ting_rastafari_really moves some air, like a friggin hurricane_not_inside the box. But, really it does move air, holy shit batman.

Had it running pretty much all day yesterday and today. Doesn't appear to have a negative effect.

I've really looked at the motor on this, since it is totally exposed, and IMHO, I'm pretty sure a person could put a speed controller_dimmer_and tie it into a temperature sensor. Temp get's a bit too high_blower picks up speed. Temp gets a bit low_blower slows down.

I'm really liking the amount and velocity of air moving thru the box. Def. don't need a oscillating fan. Plus I think it will do a heck of a job with moving CO2 into the box. Just shake my bottle up and let this monster suck it into and move it around the box.

Great thought out set up you've got, I love when people upgrade as they keep going through their grow... it's like buying gifts for your babies... any new pix? =)

The adding of a temp/timer thing to the fan, great idea. I do something kind of like that. Since it's cold I bought a space heater for the closet for the days I'm not home- don't want those babies freezing- it turns on and off according to the temp- note.. those space heaters also have a fan function on it that work with the temp sensor... it doesn't move as much air as that puppy does- but same concept... think I may do some research and make another run to the hardware store, that's a good fuckin idea. LOL

Thanks for the positive vibrations.

Mixing up a new batch for the germettes' :)

So, what we have here is a mixture of Fox Farm's Ocean Forrest at about 60~70% to pearlite_does not absorb water_and about a 1/4 pound of XX 200 fine powdered Seagul shit_errr guano. All mixed up by hand for_I dunno, a while. You'll know when it looks and feels right.

Always check the ph

Follow the thread ^ to see the bird shit I'm using. Pic ^ there.

Well, I just added another 2 CFL's_26w, 6,500k, 1,600 lumen for a total of 8 for a 4.5sq foot grow. I'm a little shy of the 3k per sq foot. I've got 2,844 per sq.

Temp's rose to 86°F. Inline fans works like a champ. Without it, plants would be toast.

Bummed to the maximum...made up a batch of "what I believed to be ph balanced water"........ long story really short. Didn't clean out the new water container well enough.

Bleach !

Eek

Just freaking out......bleach, of all things.

Smoked a phatty and decided best and probably only thing to do is flush_which I hate to do.

Thanks Tahoe :)

3 are already showing signs of freak out :(

Just completed the flush.

It will be, what it will be and I can't change it ~ just deal with it :)

Screw it, plants are saturated, nothing to do but wait.

I'm off to see the wizard_heading to NoCal for a few days while the plants dry out and the other seeds germinate.

Adios muchachos.
