I just tried the real taste of beer a month ago and was just overwhelmed by the variety, now I want to try all the beers out there.

There are 35 categories that craft beers in Ontario fall into - British Bitter is one of them - see link below for complete list.

A contractor, through work, was a beer judge. He once brought me a few of his favourites from his travels. It's been over a decade but I recall an unfiltered oatmeal stout that was absolutely divine. Something dogfish head too was exceptional.

There are so many to choices, so little time. I anticipate several day trips this summer to visit as many craft breweries as time affords.

I still don't see how a Kolsch falls into the British Bitter category. Kolsch is a German style.

But their awards to give to whoever I guess.

I'm doing some organizing in the garage, making a pile of stuff to donate and consolidating boxes of stuff. I came across a couple bottles of Roswell Alien Amber that I brought back from a week I spent there for work probably around 2004. Think it's still good to drink? It wasn't any good back then.

I pulled this out of a box last night.
It’s about 16 months old.
Smelled good. Plenty of carbonation. Tasted stale though.
Brewed it in Sept 2020.

Tonight's choices were primarily IPA.
The juicy ass IPA from Flying Monkey was lacking flavour as was the Boxing Bruin by Cowbell.
The Wicked Awesome from Nickel Brook was very good - smelled/tasted like grapefruit with a delightful/lasting bitter aftertaste.
The Black Coal Stout by Railway City tasted like it sounds - flat, robust and like it had been strained through Grandma's socks and some coal. I'd try it again.

Did you end up near Monterey?

No, not yet. :DCentral Valley for now.
I met one of the hottest chicks i’ve went out with in Monterey at the Mucky Duck. Dated her for almost 2 years right after my divorce. She’s a Latina from North Carolina. A hottie Latina with a southern accent. i was in love.
I think the guys from there all sound like forest gump though lol. :-)
Anyways. She’s a radiologic tech. She was in Monterey getting paid fat to work at CHOMP. Put up in a bad ass pad on the beach. After that contract was up she went to the hospital at stanford which btw I helped build both :-).

i hope you do get the hell out of the central valley. If and when you do, you’ll find monterey will be the complete opposite lol.

Lol, your funny. Maybe I will meet the hot Latina from South Carolina one day. That would be hysterical. I have lived in many places in California such as Eureka, Santa Rosa, Gurnville, Oakland, Sacramento , Oceanside, Glendale, Encinitas, San Diego . So I wanted to try the Central Valley with my interests in getting to know Yosemite National Park and surrounding mountains. Once I do that I might be moving on but who knows. I kinda like it here . It’s so interesting.
