When you're talking bout sick people, the word MARKET should not appear...
Illness is not trendy.
Your right, it shouldn't. PERIOD. so why does it? How many people that go to clubs do so only because they are medically incapable of growing for themselves? Why is a MMJ club more like a candy store than a pharmacy?
The "market" its not evil, its just a word. Its how you mean it when you use it. Just as any other word. In this case(bay area) consumer demand is composed of fewer sick people than pleasure smokers... market availability caters to demand, and price to availability. So unfortunately the successful clubs are the ones catering to the majority demand. Quality seems to be forgotten for turnover.
unfortunately we are trying to hide and publicly legitimize a black market through medical pretenses...your quality meds are not reaching people who need them when everyone whom wants a pot license can pay $100 and with an over-availability of inferior medicine... it creates pot parlors rather than medicinal dispensaries if that makes sense? Not to say I think MMJ clubs are bad, but the way they currently being run and regulated is definitely temporary.
I had a friend who was diagnosed with brain cancer and while in treatment at Stanford was completely undereducated and desperately searching mmj clubs for some way to mediate his multiple symptoms. unable to find the quality of medicine he desired he came to me as a friend for knowledge and try and source from other growers and their families we knew locally for the cuts he needed. To this day he has convinced himself treatment aside that the the heat treated ethanol oil and granddaddy purple saved his life. He's been tumor free for almost five years now.
