Best outdoor strains that are mold resistant

So last year I had a grow of around 20 plants that ended up getting a lot of bud rot. Disappointingly I could only salvage about 50% mostly due to a pretty wet fall. I was wondering what some good strains are that can handle moisture a little better and some unpredictability of weather. I grew Afghan Kush last year and heard it doesn't handle moisture very well.

I was reading that White Widow and Critical Kush do pretty well outdoors. I'd like to do a mixture of about 5 varieties this year. Any advice and recommendations are appreciated.

Pardon if this a dumb question, but I hope you were spraying the plants? If you had bud rot, at least BT?

In house genetics Platinum crosses are supposed to be very mold resistant. I’m gonna be running a few of the Platinum Garlic.

Last year I did well but dealt with white powdery mildew issue on most my plants in a Southern Ontario grow. Last year was one of the hottest and most humid summers in years on record. Besides the wpm issue, grew well and cleaned up nicely.

Black Domina (1763g wet in 96L garbage can) I had one spot of rot but that was from lying against the tomato cage wire. This didn’t suffer from the wpm issue. . . .just my dog eating the fan leaves that draped over
Gorilla Zkittlez ok I did this 2 years ago with late clones thrown outside. I got very little with the time they were outside but they were frosty and amazing
LSD again a late clone thrown outside last summer and she got super super frosty and a great smoke
Blue Dream got my clone out earlier and threw her in a 5G pickle bucket and manage close to 340g wet. Neighbour grew it as well and didn't do any training and grew over 8 feet tall. No issues growing for either of us, and preferred the outdoor to my indoor grown stuff

this year I’m trying a couple clones from current and coming tent grows. Looking at growing Sugar Breath, Moby Dick, Lemonchello Haze, Crystal METH, American Pie, Mango Sapphire and Dr Seedsman CBD

Thanks for the detailed info. I've seen Moby Dick and blue cheese mentioned quite a bit. Good luck to you.

Eki Bird`

Super Early, and mold resistant. Done from the last of August, to Mid Sept. Huge plants for how early they are.
Inside its done in 6-7 weeks. 42-49 days..... This is a super early phenotype of Early Bird.
Has been bred in PNW on Vashon Island since the late 80s.
I cant swear to it, but Id say other strains they have with the Vashon Kush, and Early/Eki Bird Genetics will also be both early, and mold resistant.

But the EKI Bird is for sure mold resistant, and is killer for breeding.

This. This. This x Infinity.
The only budrot I encountered was as a direct result of caterpillars shitting in my buds. Routinely Spray down your plants with BT and your bud rot occurrence will plummet(nothing is 100%)

Powdery mildew I classify differently, and it never really affects my plants in any truly deleterious manner. I do however, mist it with 3% hydrogen peroxide when I see it.

Right, I brought up BT because OP mentioned the plants had budrot. If it was a different mold, OP (e.g. powdery mildew or the dreaded botrytis), there are other sprays you could do... from the simple and DIY like a baking soda in water concoction, or the product Dr Zymes, to bigger guns like the soil bacteria derived Serenade. If it's just budrot though, BT. Also, I might consider doing some preventative sprays in veg, e.g. copper spray, but I'd only use that one very sparingly, and only in veg.

If you can find AMS seeds then they are perfect.

AMS stands for Anti Mould System

AMS is a Swiss strain, 40% indica, 60% sativa, and I have had no problems with mould ever with this plant ( and a heap of problems with other seeds I have tried, because of mould )
