Definitely wouldn't pay it. I would go to the police and tell them someone is stalking and verbally harassing you. Tell them you found the phone, it rang, obviously someone was watching you and that they threatened your health. The police are a good resource that you pay into so you might as well use it.

fuck them, in the united states you need a warrant for police to enter your home. based on a "tip" they won't be busting the door down

the phone is brand new pay as you go theres no way of me tracking this person down
if i dont pay cops are deff going to come and arrest me.(he could call and say anything like he saw me bring bags of guns or i kidnaped some one).
plus as soon as i open the front door all you smell is fresh growing weed.
would you guys honestly not pay this???? it almost seems like the resonable thing to do and then move out of here as quick as possible

he called me private number.. hes going to call me back in 3 hours to get the password for the western union transfer or its cops at the front door

fuck paying.. and he just can't say that he saw you carrying in bags of guns and have the cops show up to your place and arrest you like that.. if so, don't you think more ex's would be doing shit like that?? of course they would..

i'd call the police and say what someone else has already said.. that this nut job has been threatening you and your family, and now is trying to blackmail you for money unless you want your family killed... you need to turn this shit around on him with a quickness.. just drive straight to the popo dpt, that way they won't have to come out to your crib at all..

Still would not pay. Do you know the penalty for falsifying a kidnapping report? He would be locked up for a long time - might remind him of that in 3 hours. That's not including the blackmail charge which is over $1000 again elevating to a felony. If he just reports pot growing the cops can knock on the door in which case shut it behind you when you talk to them - they won't have a warrant in hand and most likely will not get one ever. If they do come by and you talk to them and if it seems like they will pursue it then move your gear at this time - it takes them a while to get a warrant.

this got me thinking i might stop growing weed and start finding other peoples grow ops and doing this to them seems like it would be easyer to do this then grow weed and i would make for more $$$.
if you black mail 1 grow op every 2 days for 2000$ youd make 30000$$$ every month

These types of threads are becoming popular here. Someone is having fun again with us (RIU subscribers). I am not complaining because it is a great way to break up reading threads and it adds some excitement rapid activity to the site/thread. I don't believe some of the previous outlandish posts, as well as this one. It is entertaining...

So who have you been blabbing to about your extensive grow? If you can't pack up and move your operation you (big time grower) should know that you can't trust people. It's hard not to talk about your grow because of the pride you have for successful growing. All it takes is to tell that "one" person, who tells someone else, who tells someone else, and on and on it goes. If someone is going to go through the time and expense to scope you out, buy a disposable cell phone, and only request a ransom of $2000 just doesn't make sense in my opinion. If your operation is so big that you can't move it, odds are that you have more than that invested in plants, equipment, and possibly cash that they could break in and steal for a bigger pay day. You only had 3 hours so your butt is either out of $2000 or the cops will be pounding on your door soon. :shock:

I had a break in where most of my plants were stolen along with gear and a bunch of pot. I called the cops and they finger printed, took photos, questioned my neighbors without giving anything away and then wished me the best of luck. Most cops don't care so much about pot anymore (of course depends on state) but they definitely care about the violence and other crimes associated with it. I really wouldn't hesitate getting them involved.

in usa you would end up in a river with out hands or a head ...you actualy thinking of this then you deserve what situation you are in ... thats why you need a cop friend or two , they are the best at problem solving...
