BioBizz All-Mix vs Ocean Forest

So I have been using Ocean Forest soil for the past couple of years with great results. The other day I was at my hydro shop just checking out the different soils they had, and I ran across the BioBizz All-Mix. The guy told me that is the best soil he carries.

Has anyone ever used this soil?
How does it compare to Ocean Forest?
Would I need to cut my nute load back with this soil?
Does it dry out about as fast as Ocean Forest?

Any info on this soil would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

what he said!! alot of us are not lucky enough to have a hydro store around the corner! usually if a guy knows enough to open a business he knows his shit! ask the hydro guy and tell us what he has heard or seen!

Well the guy at the shop said its the best soil he carries. He also has the Ocean Forest, Black Gold, some Canna soil, and some others as well.

The price is like $7 more a bag than the Ocean Forest, and I'm not sure if its smaller or the same size. I get the Ocean Forest for $13 a bag while the BioBizz is $20 a bag.

I think I am going to do a run with both Ocean Forest and the All Mix and see which one I like better.

If any one has actually used this soil, any info is still welcomed.

Thanks,
Bob

I was first introduced to Biobizz All Mix in Portugal and I used it for a passive wick grow I did when living on the beach there. That soil is phenomenal - I'm sad that no one in Denver carries it yet because shipping is a b&tch on costs. If you are lucky enough to have a store near you carrying it, buy it. I used it from start to finish with no added nutes with a wide variety of Himalayan-ish strains (due to cold, windiness in Portugal in winter).

I had my plants next to a southern facing window(for wind to keep air moving and bugs off) with a standard light on nearby 24/7 to simulate longer days and give a bit of warmth at night. I would fill my reservoirs ( one for each plant) & leave for work for a month or more at a time and come back and everything was groovy. Now that's passive growing at it's best.

I am just finishing up a grow with ffof and swear by it. One of the first grows i ever attempted I used biobizz all mix. I am one of the lucky to have hydro shop nearby, but I have never done a side by side . I have had better "luck" with ffof, but as I said always a lot of luck. Still a very nice medium to use.

I did a side by side with the stuff, I guess I should have done an update. I didn't really like the texture of it and I ended up with a mg def in the plants grown in the all mix. I used the same nutes on both soils, so there shouldn't have been an issue with any of the plants. The yield was about the same in both soils, and there was no difference in the taste or look. It was DEFINITELY NOT worth the extra money.

yeah it be good to see the difference in the 2. I just use an all purpose soil that i add wth my own boosters instead of buying expensive soil.

I get Ocean Forest for like $11 a bag, so I don't consider it expensive. I have to use like 6 bags per grow. If I were using a cheaper soil, I would be paying like $6 a bag, plus I would have to add perlite, worm castings, lime, etc. This way I don't have to do a damn thing but put my plants in a pot.
