Damn dude where you growing on the planet Mercury? I dunno if I could handle living somewhere that hot. It was in the mid to high 90's here for a few weeks back in July and ppl weren't even leaving their houses.

All I can say is that if I had your cool weather my plants would be monster freaks right now, and that aint no bull, because lets face it you Norcal boys and us, well, we can both plant April 1 but my shit quits growing in June when its above 100 for days and then into August when its 116 in the shade. So Im just giving myself a pat on the back because theres much love and respect in these bones for Norcal as thats where it started and that where 1/2 of my genes are from so blah blah blah heres a shout out for the Norcalness from your boys down here in the ashtray of cactus, and dont be a stranger now you hear.
Oh by the way friends these clones are the next batch for cutting up and veggin up thru the warm desert winter! Peace!
P.S.
My two biggest girls are about day 3 of flower! FUCK YES
I think Im down to two plants that are in veg, and I bet they flip next week.

Following pics, blackskull clones that took a beating but are coming back, and European bag seed and auto sprouts

I wanted to ask you guys back up there, when generally are you done (when the last plant is cut down). It may be in that monster journal of yours somewhere and I apologize, but Im also curious at what % of amber color head do you take at?

Hey thanks for everyone who stopped to look at my mark on mother earth, and thanks to all all who say nice things about it!

I also forgot, I posted this at another community too, but anyways, I really like this girl Drea De Matteo, very nice thing she is, wouldnt you agree?

Hey Vdog...thought I'd pay a visit

sorry to hear about the temp issues...shit sucks

Firstly...the sopranos is my shit...and Drea is always looking fine. For those who haven't had a chance to watch the sopranos make some moves to do that.

but secondly and most important. I know from my blackskull pepperjack haze grow that the pjacks can handle some heat. Its been very hot lately in my area as well and my shitty ass central AC can't cut it. I've been struggling with temps lately. I think the unit is over 15 years old. Im in my last 2 weeks of flowering when you want a cool dry environment, and my temps have been between 90 and 100 for the last 10 days because my AC can't cool the house in this weather. However, the plant is handling it amazingly, its lost a little on the stickiness and aroma, but the crstals haven't shown any signs of damage and the growth hasn't slowed much. I know 100 still doesn't match 115 but hopefully your bskulls can pull through...I'm certainly pulling for you

-PEACE-

The winters make it all worth it, but right now it sucks, if I have it my way, I wont be doing a April 1 planting for next season in this hot environment. However, Im glad to say that I have come up with a magic number of 50. I am going to take 50 cuttings in two weeks, then I am going to let them root in plastic beer cups for 2 weeks, and then veg for another 3 to 4 weeks under flouros where finally I am going to transplant to 5 gal containers. They will veg in the sun during the day and under flouros at night for roughly October, November, and maybe even December, depending on how big and fast they grow. Once they are at the size Im happy with Im just going to leave them outside to flower, allowing for a nice bumper crop. The good news is that I just transplanted a bunch of very small clones, auto sprouts, and threw down about 300 seeds from a bagseed and a self breed auto seed collection into prepared planters. The planters are 4 large front end loader tires that have the centers cuts out, so Im expecting another but much smaller bumper crop of combined autos, bagseed, and clones from that project. Ofcourse the sun time is winding down daily but its still warm as all get out, so I think we will still see a little bit of veg in the regular photoperiod stuff and any extra flowers that can be generated for either smoke, hash product, or tincture will be just fine. With 200 or so auto seeds going into the 4 tires Im hoping for small seas of greens. I will journal that here too, but anyways between my current blackskull grow that is in early flower now, the tires and the January flower project with the 50 cuttings Im taking soon, we should be ok for flowers until the the next seasons big plants can get ground transplanted in April. I will have to wait until early next year to figure out how and what plant count to go with for sure, but I do know one thing, and that is, I want to grow some freaking monsters.

Thanks Richard, I looked at your update and you got 500 g's wet thats awesome. I will go back and post a note there when Im done.

Well the sun and 110 degree temps has officially cooked one smaller plant that was about the third of the way thru flower, it is hang drying now and is crystal covered but way early. I didnt take a picture of it because it was way to depressing, and I lost a 6 foot tentical branch off my biggest plant, same thing, very depressing. Since the loss, I purchased firing strips, ripped them to a point and drove them in the ground and then wrapped the plants in sunscreen. That saved the plants but I know the heat is way suck ass for flowering, its not suppossed to be this hot right now.

Oh well, to make things a little better, I did manage to get out of town and go where its cooler to build a privacy fence and excavated out some ground soil to drop container plants down lower than ground level, and then hang a 400 hps over the top. These plants get the indirect sun and the hps at night. I am taking 50 cuttings from these this week, those 50 cuttings will be vegged until Jan 1, then have cuttings taken from them (for the April big dog run) and then allowed to flower at the mark of the new year. So for now I got my big plants in the heat that are flowering, these 5 and 2 gal clone bags below, autos, super autos, small clones (ground planted), and bag seed going right now.

Well thanks alot fumble, atleast I got some early "racey" head pot coming, very crystally but early, it was just dense enough to be smokeable, any less and it would be hash food. The tentical branch had baby flowers and it is tincture material.

Freaking bummer, just met a dude at a smoke out yesterday that lost a 4 foot plant that was 5 feet wide, he reported losing it in the matter of one day, healthy in the morning and dead at night. This was last week, that would be the day I lost a 6 foot branch and a single cola plant and then screen wrapped on that day! I wish I would have met him last week, I could have tried to help save his plant.

pic update: various plants, some shaded, early bud & popcorn in a bowl (heat death).
Since we lost some, Im hoping we will still see 1 to 2 pounds all together

Another homemade cheapy bubble cloner.
Taken late in flower, cuts of the following:
3 bskull five-0
2 bskull pineapple gum (indie dom and very white, look at the cutting in the bottum of the bucket pic, you cant miss the white pistils)
2 nirvana bubbelicious, its small veg stature is giving way to fat and dense flowers

000_1481.JPG000_1482.JPG

These are 51 soil cuts that came from mother plants located in cooler weather and that get hps light at 1 am to 8am and then sun all day long. I have 24 mothers that are in 5 gal containers, they will veg until Jan 1 and then be flowered outside. While whatever roots and grows from the 51 cuts below, will provide stock for next seasons outdoor 100 gal container grow, and hopefully a 72 count.

30 bskull Jack Herer
7 sensi skunk #1
7 bskull powerbud
7 bskull bubble bud

hey thanks !
update on cuttings, the 51 soil cuts are looking green and vibrant as ever, I typically let them go 14 days in the ziplocks and then slowly introduce them to the dry air.
the 7 in the bubbler, well it looks like one is not going to make it, a shorter cut, not alot of stem exposure below the water line, still it might come back? the other six look great with high hopes

do it! very easy. I say this with all humbelness and with much trial and error to get here but Im near 100% with soil clones and the same if not better with bubblers! My very first mj grow was dwc, so Im partial to it. Aero is expolsive but dwc is so simple, sometimes I go more than a week changing water.

I shared with double this morning and now with you, its a very sad day here, we lost our terrier mix to a car this morning at 6 am, not the driver fault. So if you have a pet be sure to give it some hugs and rubs. I have more feeling for my animals then I do for alot of people. Just on the forum board to stay busy, you will be missed Charlie

Peace

I bought a 64 site bubble cloner online. It just uses tap water, nothing else. The first time I took cuts, they all rooted. You have to get them planted or into a system before too long though, because there are no nutrients. Super easy thing to make though.

I am so sorry for your loss vdog. I know exactly how you feel. I would rather hang out with my dog than any person I could think of.
