I can answer that, as I had Whole Foods paper bags with trim that I kept for YEARS. Trim is really potent up to a year or so. After that, it just becomes weaker and tasteless quickly. I'm talking about trim not stored in any special way, just kinda sitting out...
Did not know that. I figured super dry trim would leave a lot of plant material in your kief.
send it to me! the chickens would love it! that's what i've been doing with mine. they're my little potheads <3And we don't take care to cure trim! I fast dry it in a day or two. I dunno I kinda feel bad throwing it out. I could probably fill a pillowcase with all the trim I have.

I believe they recommend it to be dry, many use dry ice chunks to make it very dry and cold so that the trichomes break off clean and easy. It is all about how long you tumble, the shorter the time the better quality the kief to a point. I usually do 2 tumbles - I put the trim in the freezer then tumble it for about 20 mins for A grade kief (super blonde and pure to press and sell), then again for about an hour for B grade (still pretty good, but used for baking).
O yeahI did a run through a rosin press of five-year old trim for a friend, and it came out really dark. It wasn't too bad, a nice mellow high. Of course the taste was like smoking your grandma's perfume

I don't like vapes or dabs. They give me the spins. I don't have a press either. I do have a carbon filter on the exhaust of my drying tent. That clears it out pretty quick. I just replace the carbon with the kind they sell for fish filters every year
