Blaze & Daze

... Nope, just Nope! ...
Spent 3 days in Vegas in 2003 cause L'il Sis decided on an Elvis Chapel wedding. The average daytimes temps were 116F and being from the Great Lakes basin, I can't related to that kind of heat. We also drove from Vegas to the Grand Canyon on the 4th day and in Williams AZ, some 3 hours after we left Vegas, a brief snow squall passed through.

Got married at the Little White Chapel in '97 - took the mystery out of the commitment after 8+ years. Vegas was hella hot in May. Good times.

And all those temps are with 2% humidity lol I'll take -20°.....I'm not built for this. Who the hell wants a sweaty ass or nuts stuck to their legs. You guys in jeans and leather or hanging inside? How about heavy machinery with no ac?

I did about 5 cord today alone....18 yesterday and 18 the day before with help.:lol::lol:

It's all what you're used too and what you do :blsmoke:

I was a machinist in Houston for 15 years, only worked in one air conditioned shop. I've seen fist fights over floor fans. Nothing like working your ass off in 100 degrees with 99 RH.

I'm a welder. Seriously in the loader in 90° don't mean 90° in the machine. Especially if you're used to cold 6 months of the year.

20 something years ago I was asked to interview out in AZ. No. Sorry not for me.....I'm "well done" at a low temperature lol

It's why I ran to the stream!

Didn't get any pics of the trail there. But the kids loved it, and so did we :blsmoke:
That sounds like a glorious outing!

Little man’s 8th birthday week extravaganza continued with a Musical. Those of you who have young kids in your sphere (directly, grandkids or nephews/nieces etc) know of the Dog Man series. He had fun, but wouldn’t call it riveting theatre.

Lil’ Miss Frumpy Sherbet decided the new digs are to her liking after all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

My little guy just turned 7 the other day :blsmoke:

I bought a handy little graduated beaker at.the grocery store last year. I dropped it into the abyss of my reservoir last week and though nbd, I'll get it out when the res runs dry. We'll, it ain't scientific glassware, that's for sure. All the graduated markings dissolved. Now it's just a dinky juice glass!20240606_071034.jpg
