Were you 2nd shot? Nothing bugs all of my playing partners like having them stick it 18" - and I still get inside them.
I was in a fairway bunker and hit the club that would get me there but hit the lip. My buddy commented see that happens to you all the time you never play it safe. Pissed me off he did, my third shot was a 7 iron that stopped 6 inches from the hole for a tap in par. Meanwhile mister conservative was on in reg but 3 putted. Final score me 75 him 77 thanks in part to the risky 3 wood I carved around a bunker on 17 for an easy 2 put birdie.

Google Translate couldn't help me out with any of that...That's Scottish talk right?

A very similar situation occurred years ago on Battlefield 18th playing our annual friendly match. We just won the 17th hole and are up 2 going to the long Par 5 tee. WINNERS! GAGNANTS! Then one of our opponents then bets double or nothing cause he hates losing - especially to me.

A great tee shot rolls into the fairway sand directly ahead. I clipped the lip with a 6 iron on my 2nd shot and the ball rolled a little too far right into a waste area. Now I have a crappy stance with about 160 yards left to the flag. Echoes of "We got this one!" were heard coming from the other cart. I proceeded to nail my 7 iron to 12 feet and saved the par. My partner scored a 6 for a team score of 11. Both of our opponents bogey for a team score of 12.

As I said earlier ... WINNERS! GAGNANTS!
