Blaze & Daze

I miss busking, I haven't done it since 2019. I found some cool local spots around my new area where I think it would be a hit. I lost my last tip bucket in the move, so I decided to make another one. Check it -

You know who that is? Mozart.

I was a little coked up, so I rushed it. I pressed a little too hard on the sharpie, so it ran a bit. Oh, well. Nice enough for the street. I read years ago that tip jars with a face on them tend to increase tips by 30%+. I have found that to be true in my many years of experience. The weather is warming up significantly next week, I may take this bad boy out for a test run on Sunday. Wish me luck...

The best of luck to you

I used to sit out by the art institute to listen to the bucket boys near there like 8 years ago, but they changed. The beats got less spicy, then they showed up less and less :[ If i see your bucket I'll toss you a nickel :P it looks cool. Is busking fun? Do people ever try to take stuff out of your tips?

Beep, bring me the warm weather now, please. How do?

Busking is a lot of fun. I always recommend all performers give it a shot. It is easy to play when someone hires you, but it takes moxie to play when and where no one asks you to. If you can play through the distractions of the street, car noises, strange people, etc., playing a gig or recital is no problem. I have had some of the strangest, and most beautiful encounters while busking. I have had people take money from my tips, and early on a couple of dudes stole my entire bucket. My instinct was to run after them, but that's exactly what they want. Their plan is to have you run after one of them while the other one stays behind and takes your expensive shit, like your speaker or your instrument. I now attach the bucket to my music stand and other gear, so they would have to drag the entire set up. No one has ever attempted that ;) Those things are very rare, though. It is almost a spiritual experience to draw large crowds, and have people sit down and surround you in deferential silence, then explode with applause at the end of each tune. It is a great way to get gigs, too. It is cool to talk to strangers that tell you how great you are, how you made their day, then give you money. It was also the best way to meet women. It's my fav way of interacting with people, which is something I don't usually enjoy...

Morning,

Two more inches coming

Standard breakfast of meds, coffee, and cannabis. Anxiety is kinda mid, but I would rather none at all.

Outside of a couple tomatillos that appear to be extra sensitive, hardening process seems to be going along well for the first round of starts for this spring. Looking forward to getting my raised beds filled this weekend, and to start transplanting and sowing seeds.

Might also get some rolled fencing to build trellises and cages to deter a boxer intent on destroying all that she surveys.

That's awesome bro,you are a pretty unique dude for sure. I really get the same thing that experience of someone playing and all just there listening is religious. I can not imagine being the one playing and to get that feeling almost like a high. Side note your doing fine with those temps your crushing it. See how they taste when dried and all but your clearly growing dank. Was thinking other day you we're all excited when got the house and that little chill spot in yard and all the landscaping tools left with house. Did you end up doing some things? Id go with perennials just plant in quick bed and will come back every year just fertilize once a year and chop back. Can do bulbs of tulips, lilies things like that for cheap also and come back every year. Just have to plant in November then when spring hits you'll have your first flowers of the season. Then your summer ones bloom and have flowers all year. If interested or have the time.

Thanks, bro. The little old lady that lived (and died) in this house loved to garden. I understand from neighbors that she was always in the yard planting and pruning, until she just got too old. Then a guy next door took over mowing her lawn and maintaining the garden. Years later he is still doing the same for me, just not for free. He's interesting, a junky who is my age who still lives at home with mom and family. No job, he just needs pocket money for cigarettes and booze (maybe crack?), so he only charges me $20 to mow my entire lawn, and maybe another $20 to prune and do shit in the garden. It would be crazy expensive to hire a pro service to do it, so I'm lucky. I'm not interested yet, but I may start to learn to garden out there. I'm pretty busy with music, and of course, my indoor garden ;) I'd really love it if this backwards State's laws change, and I could move my indoor garden outdoors. I do enjoy enjoy watching my garden from my deck, I go out there several times a day to watch the birds and furry creatures do their thing. So relaxing.

Same here. I like to sit on the back patio. If you're quiet the animals start to come out. It's 200 to 400 every time our landscaper comes out.
