Just switched over to Botanicare and I have a few questions.

My Medium: SunShine#9 (soil less mix, added perlite)

My Ph: 5.8-6.1

I was recommended to use the Soil Forumula Pro Bloom 1.5-4-5 by the person at the shop even though I'm using a soil-less mix. I am about five weeks in and noticed a Phosph. diff. so today I went in to tell them about it and was told I should have been using the Pro Blend 2.5-2-5 for the first three weeks of flower and then switch over to the mix with less nitrogen in it.

Curious if you guys use the 2.5-2-5 for the first three weeks or not. For the first two weeks of flower I was adding Nitrozine at about 5 ML per gallon. Instructions on the bottle say 5-10ML per liter but I was told by a very knowledgeable person at the hydro store to only use the 5ML.

I also started adding 10 ML per gallon of Liquid Karma today. I am curious what levels of a Phosph. additive you guys use with the 1.5-4-5 mix, and how often you apply? I was told just the first and last two weeks, however I added some tonight because of the Phosph problem. Nitrozime is 0-4-4.

For the Pure Blend I'm giving them about 25 ML per gallon as instructed on the feed chart, but on the bottle it says you can push it as far as 45ML per gallon during aggressive flowering.

Am I using too little with the 25 ML per gallon or do the additives I'm supplementing with make up for that? Post your mix, and your medium and let's discuss their products.

I also add CalMag to 1\3 the recommended dose on the bottle, and have had no problems with calcium or magnesium.

Thanks!

Lastly, once I realized I didn't have enough P I did put 15 ML of Nitrozime per gallon in the recent resi change. The dude at the store told me he knows people who use Nitrozime the entire time and I am curious what you folks do.

Bud development seems a bit slower than it used to with the old Nutes, and I'm thinking I am short changing them in some department and I'd like to hear what other guys are doing.

Thanks!

I used botanicare on my last grown. I used the pure blend pro grow, liquid karma and pure blend pro bloom. I love pure blend pro grow and my plants did as well. i had a plant that was completely yellow and it greened up in 2 days. but i give strong doses. i gave 30ml per gallon of pure blend pro grow all the way through the whole grow. i dont like the bloom nutes. my buds turned out smaller than i expected and i also got nute burn from the bloom formula. on my next grow i will be using fox farm nutes for flowering.

Interesting, I have no signs of burn and I haven't heard that it makes things turn out smaller yet from anyone else. Thanks for the input and good luck!

i use all botanicare products and have used them for a while. The only way you would have gotten nute burn is if you fed to strong of a dose....YOU should only use about 1/2 recomended dose per gallon. And as far as switching products ive used just about everything and i love the simplicity of botanicare products and they give great results everytime

woot second that botanicare is the shiznit
i switched from fox farm to botanicare pbp and love the diff.
i use a soiless mix of sunshine no.4 run ph in veg at 6.5 and lower everytime till it is at
5.9 till third week of flowering then raise it up slowly till i get it back up to 6.3 personally i think botanicare is better for soiless mixes ff is better for soil mixes i beleive high times would agree with me on that less u use AN in this case u are using the best if u burned ur plants then u are mixing to much and i use veg and bloom soil for entire transition time for the nitrogen i have had great results

i do use full doeses though unless i introduce the nutes in veg then i half it the first time if u use liquid karma DO NOT USE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IT WILL KILL OFF ANY BENIFICIAL BACTERIA IN THE LIQUID KARMA for my regimen i use
first couple weeks of veg i use hydro organics RAINBOW MIX works great i use half dose mixed in sunshine no. 4 with 30% perilite added nothing else
yea i know i should be using more earthworm castings and guano but ive never seen anything negative from not using guano vermiculite or worm castings

VEG ml per gallon

10ml of liquid karma
25 ml of pbp grow
5 ml cal mag plus
5 ml silica blast every other feed so food with silica-water-food-water-food with silica
15 ml earth juice microblast every two weeks
1 drop of superthrive
5ml aqua shield applied once when cuttings and every thirty to ninety days
10 ml of sweet raw sweet citrus or sweet berries
IN THAT ORDER then ph down if needed

for bloom i use the regimine they suggest on their chart on the back of the pbp grow bottle i do not use the bloom only the bloom soil and the suppliments from the chart in the botanicare book i got from the grow store
i do not use the aquashield like they suggest bc im doing soiless culture not hydro or soil basically hydro but no drip system i do all the work and my ph goes in at 5.87 when i get it down and comes out at an astonishing 5.99 woot

BLOOM ml per gallon

10 ml of liquid karma
25 ml pbp bloom soil
5 ml cal mag plus till week 5-6 then no more unless needed
5 ml hydroplex
5 ml silica blast same as veg
15 ml of earth juice microblast every two weeks
25 ml of sweet raw sweet citrus or sweet original berries depending on strain genetics
5 ml aquashield every thirty or ninety days after first applied as a cutting
in this order
THEN PH DOWN IF NEE
DED

BTW I USE LIQUID KARMA WITH EVERY WATERING AND SWEET
FOLIAR FEED THE LK ONCE A WEEK FOR BEST RESULTS
THERE YOU GO GOOD LUCK "REMEBER TO FLUSH EVERY 21 DAYS EVEN THOUGH ITS MOSTLY ORGANIC DOES NOT MEAN U DONT NEED TO FLUSH THE BAD SHIT YOUR PLANT SPITS OUT WHILE FEEDING"<---------IMPORTANT

I have been using fox farm nutes for about a year. I only fed one teaspoon a week with the beastie, chaching, etc. got a ppm meter the other day and the plants were hitting 1400-2000 ppm. that explained why i now water until i get run off. so i watered until the reached around 400ppm and started up agin with the heavier waterings. i went through an amazing amount of nutes just to maintain a 600-700 ppm and probably flushe everyting out of my dirt (ocean forest).now i am trying to maintain a 600-700ppm without flushing so much.my question would be... i have friends that are newgrowers that plant in ocean forest and don't fertilize until flower. they give it one dose of bloom going in and they alternate between alaskan fish fertilizer from Bi-mart and some bloom fertilizer every two weeks, hardly any ferts. they grow some of the most beautiful buds averaging 8-9 ounces from 5-6' tall plants. top colas 10" long and 4" around. It seems like the less give them the bigger the buds get but I know they can handle more but I don't see results. I grow great bud but only 3 ounces a plant. I guessw I will have to force myself to barely feed one plant and see!

what size pot were they in? "the bigger the pot the bigger the yeild" and i believe that if u over nute it makes the smoke just not turn out as good....but some of my friends use fox farm and u wouldnt believe the doses with a flush every week then getting it back up to like 2600 ppm in 7 days then flushing ...
i dont nute as much as them and i do believe my smoke is better on the buzz and looks but i dont seem to cure mine as long as them it just doesnt last that long .as i am a medical user
but i truly think not overnuting is better for your plant if ur overnuting then ur burning your plants roots and foliage so use common sense whats less stress <less stress better bud>

but what do i know dont grow pot

I have used botanicare for a long time. I first off would like to say that with that rich soil mix you need to bump your ph up a little to 6.5-8 in my coco no runoff garden I run my ph at 5.9 same goes for my ebb and grow. This should really be standard for all hydroponic type applications, soil need's to be higher. You can go hard the first half of flower with the liquid karma up to 12 ml per gal. As for the cal mag I only introduce that for the first 2 weeks of flower and lightly through veg, unless your have R/O system than you need cal mag the hole way. Honestly man dirt stays outside you need to reserve the dirt bagging for the outdoor season, do yourself a favor and go pick up some coco for your next round.

I use and am very happy with pure grow and bloom but don't use full strength. I burnt pretty bad the the bloom but never the grow. I also use the soil formula even though i grow in coco. I do think I need to start using liquid karma as something jyst seems incomplete. Can quite figure out what's deficient but not looking as good as I possibly think they can. I use cal mag also.

no1 said they were using dirt he said soiless mix i read back to see
it is not soil and therfore should be ran as hydroponics ph range not at 6.5-8 <---and since when do u ever go above 7 when growing cannabis do not listen to this guy he obviously didn't read the post whats in ss mix#9 i cant find it anywhere not even on the sungro website
cannabis grown in the 5.5-6.1 or 6.2 range grows rapidly if your not growing in soil DO NOT go above 7 EVER it wont kill em but they will grow retarded slow and will not finish on time longer veg longer flowering period 2 weeks is idead for veg time and at optimal growth ur plants can and will grow as much as 1-3 inches a DAY in the CORRECT PH RANGE OF 5.5-6.2 btw do your homework before u start being rude to ppl on a thread when u should know that even with dirt ph should never reach more than 7 with soil the range is 6.2-6.8

oh and if u look on the back of the grow bottle there should be a second chart w/o the pbp bloom for users of the soil bloom even though ur not growing in soil it is higher in phos. with is good for flowering check out the silica blast too by botanicare its the best potassium silicate on the market wich is also great for flowering

Soiless mix means ure doing a "soiless culture grow" which is a sub culture of hydroponics. i use all organics dont waste your money on bottles ure guiding mother nature so use her help!!!!! plus ull never get any better results than pure organiecs. and save money!!!! no flushing !!!!! kinda <<<<<<<<this is int the normal dude on here its his fat stoner roomate.. mother rules happy earth day:} bong rips and that new no2 vap is the shit invest into that than bottle junk
