And those are some gnarly kolas, duchie!
Nice job!
Thanks Doob. I'm pretty stoked about trying that one too. I've got some shot's of my Jack Hammer sativa here. Another pair of victims of early neglect and heat stress so I've been keeping them going since bringing them back. They are pretty airy and not much "girth" but they are frosting up real nice and they wreak of lemon grass, like their mom and dad, and one has a hint of berry/fruit to her.

I sit there like a perv, smelling my fingertips until the smell is lost.
Kind of sick, really.
But, damn I love that smell!

I still have a few CBH seeds left.
I planted just one this round and it turned out male.
I'm bummed that I'm not able to safely let the males grow to maturity to harvest the pollen for later.
When we get a house... ;-)
Ha ha. I do the same thing. Haven't found one that smells like fish yet. I find that the more you do it the more you get to the underlying smells. Stalk smell is a bid different too. One of these Caseyband crosses has a real sweet sour cream like smell in the stalk. Can't remember which one right now.

Thank you kind fellows. A word to the wise. When shooting photos past the midnight hour, remember to check the file dated the day you began. Doh!

In the larger pot is a Sour Diesel/Blueberry cross that I failed the first couple of attempts on so I'm giving her a little extra care. Below her are 2 BSB X CB from The HC Line.

Oh!
Duchie: what the heck plant is this from?
I see it's got some burrs to the seeds, but what's it from?
I'm going mad!

Ha,ha. It's a weed that I saw growing on the roadside where stopped to take pictures. I've been noticing more and more things lately that look like ganja in one way or another.

Hey Tryna. As soon as I pull that White Widow in the next day or two I'm potting them up and in they're going. They got a good feed of Bio Fish and Kelp boost about a week ago and they've finally taken off after a slow start. I'm trying to get things lined up for the new tent. I still need and inline and filter for the 6" cool tube. I was going to just get a 6" fan but now I'm thinking of an 8 or 10" and run both tent's off the one fan and use the 4" for something else. Problem is that the place with the fans only sells filters as big as 6". The CFM rating on the 10 is not much more than the 8 at 720 vs 760 so I think the 8 will work fine. Again, tent 1 will be a regular reflector but is right next to the fresh air window. Tent 2 will have a cool tube between the filter and fan. Anybody think this won't be enough? If not I'd have to go to a 12 for more than a1000 CFM.

Here's where I'm buying my gear. http://stores.ebay.ca/hobbylightsoneshop

Sounds like plenty to me.
I'm running a total of 415cfm for the one 600w, and have direct draw from the window, and have to fight at night to keep the grow box WARM enough now!
Never thought it would get to that point, but I did something right for a change. ;-)
Getting down close to freezing in the coming nights over here, and you'll be getting much colder as soon as residual heat from all those lakes turns cold.
Next Summer you may be wishing for the 10", though ;-)
Also, if the amount of air moved is nearly the same between the 8" and the 10", it means the 10" turns at a slower RPM, and will be about as quiet/noisy as the 8" even though it moves a bit more air.

Your a pretty smart dude. lol. Never thought of the RPM factor. Still, 8 inch is less watts and amps which is more $. Noise don't cost me nothing and can be baffled. Also, 10" fittings and ducting, etc, is more costly. And bigger and heavier. And with two 6 inch filters it'll be pretty difficult to step up to a 10", real easy for an 8.

8" it is then! Thanks Doobie!

I smell my fingers like that too. I feel like a perv, but I don't care. It smells so good.

Those Jack Hammer leaves are so wild looking. Talk about sativa, huh.

And I don't mind redundant pics... I'll take all you got.

Do you not have any dogs at the moment? I think I remember your old boy passing away.

Hadn't thought of that.
8" & 6" are way more common & less expensive in all ways.

And I'm digging that sativa JH as well!
Love sativas!

Jack Herer X Amnesia Haze is the cross on those, and talk about fingering, those are my favorite to do it to. Even the smoke that fills the room from them is amazing, IMO. I'm convinced that even a non smoker would find the smell appealing, like a fine Indian incense. But then I'm told, "no honey, it's not that pleasant." But I say, they don't know from good!

Sadly we don't have any dogs and it's killing us, especially my wife. She's on a Mastiff facebook group everyday. There's a place up the road with a sign out for Mastiff pups and she's afraid to pull over and see how much they want for one. Not something we can afford right now, not to mention we've all agreed that we should wait until the right time, right? Who knows, everything's so up in the air right now.

Here's the big issue. Our landord and tenant regulations make it illegal to refuse children and pets, even if it's in the lease, the act will override it. Here's the catch. Most landlords are still listing no pets so as a tenant who is a pet owner looking for a place it creates a sticky situation. You know your legally entitled and the landlord is breaking the law by refusing, (which he hasn't really done yet by putting it in the listing), so what do you do? Avoid those listing all together? Call them and be straight up, what do you have to lose? Or, See the place, sign the lease and don't tell them and then move in and deal with it then? Better to ask forgiveness than permission?

Well, I tell you, I've done that last one once. You should have seen the look on his face when he and his family, along with their little dog, watched me and my family, along with out 200lb Mastiff, come walking in to the local park. It was a little tense let me tell you but there was nothing he could say or do and we eventually proved that we were worthy tenant and we lived there for 2 years with glowing references when we left. I just don't know if I want to do that shiest er think again. It's such a stressful thing wondering what's going to happen when they eventually find out. Is it going to get nasty with bullshit inspections and other harassing stuff, which I would have to document and file a complaint with the tribunal, yada, yada. :finger: Been there, done that too. Not for pet reasons but other crap. Like building a Wendy's 40' from my door without telling me. I lost that one.

He'll be saddened to find I've moved and there'll be no such thing going up here anytime soon. Just me and those damn bells now. Good grief!

I gave up on the local Wendy's here for a decent soda pop: very warm & watery & low-fizz.
I only eat there about once a month, and tried their new "Fat & Juicy", (Hot & Juicy: freudian slip ;-) ) and it's almost like eating as real burger.
But the cost is whack.

Hey, jig, speaking of annoyances, I forgot to ask about your new neighbors!
One of your previous posts mentioned some yapping?
Do they seem cool otherwise?

And, duchie, you mentioned a 5 plant limit over in the 600.
Is that self-imposed, or gov't imposed?

I learned the main yapper is a rescue dog the lady picked up at the pound, he was scheduled to die and one of the workers called my new neighbor and said, if you could please watch this guy, he's a real sweetheart. So little yapper is ok in my book... when I hear the yaps I just think what he must be saying "Thank you for saving my life. Life is so beautiful. I appreciate it so much now. I love all these trees." All in perspective.

Kinda like the bells. My wife thinks you are a lucky man duchie. (i know how you feel though)

Otherwise they are alright. I find things to annoy me... but that's my way. In some ways I can be so positive and have rose colored glasses. Other times quite the opposite.

If I may answer your question over here duchie. I would (of course) do some type of scrog action in the two tents, be them horizontal or vertical. It really maximizes yield in a space. Do you do the mother/clone thing at all... or always from seed. Knowing that I could formulate more of a plan of what I would do.

It would be a gov imposed, if passed, and that's how it's looking. Anything over has mandatory mins. I haven't done the mother thing yet and really don't want to. I've taken a cutting or two here and there for stuff I like, usually in flower. I've also revegged a couple of plants a time or two but I like the different strains coming out and with a good choice of seed how could I stick with one plant? It's killing me thinking of it. Now if every plant is different I could live with that but it brings a whole other bunch of problems like males and selection choice, or lack of. I'm not too concerned but searching for options and staying ahead of it. In the meantime, let'r roll.

Sometimes I think I'm getting a bit cynical these days. Other people say they know I am.

Hey Bobo! Great to see you here. I keep meaning to PM you. I want to talk shop about photography with you and see what your in to.

Ok. let's update then. I've been lurking but lots of other stuff going on. Since last post I harvested my White Widow. She's in open jars now, starting burping. It has that nice pine smell to her as well as a diesel smell. There's a nice cleaner taste to her too. Will only get better in the cure. I did have some bud rot with her as well. A couple of grams of wet bud cut out. In all I ended up with 145g trimmed and wet weight. Next up for harvest is the Jack Hammer which are fattening up, as much as they can I guess, and they're starting to finish up. I'm guessing another couple/few weeks. After that though is looking real exciting. All the new plants are doing really good with the new nutes and amendments. Pics below.

Ordered my 8" fan and two 6" filters today and should have them tomorrow for something to work on this weekend. Tent 2 is just about fully operational and it would be great to get it finished.
