Hey fellow growers 4 years ago i got a package 400w vero kit from timber growlights.

When i have the lights on and look strait intro the cob i se dead, "pixels" like 20% on the worst one.

Can i some how just buy a knew chip and where do i find one and install? I live in eu btw / flodas

they should have a product code printed on the cob itself.

something like BXRC-30G10K0-L-2x

you can then type that in to google and order new chips from arrow or digikey idk EU distributors

You can probably upgrade the COBS now and get even better performance. Just have to match the new COBS to your driver.

Are the Vero's standard with a holder or the SE push-in version?

I am sure timber would supply you the replacements if you arent comfortable sourcing you own. They know what they built, may even offer you the part number so you can order your own. They seem pretty helpful from what ive seen/heard.

If it is a Gen 7 or 6 Vero it has a ten year warranty even the gen 5's have a 5 year warranty so you might be covered. Not sure if all is the same in the EU , I would contact Bridgelux and see if they will hook you up with a replacement.

Cause they're gen7 and his Vero's are 2 yrs old.
The current Bridgelux Veros are gen 7 as well and unless I completely misinterpret the datasheets, just as or more efficient than the Luminus equivalent. Also, his Vero is most likely a 36V variant so the 50V Luminus won't work anyway.

I was just curious why you recommend the Luminus.. figured I might have missed something.

@CobKits made quite a lot of measurements of cobs back in the day and luminius came in first in around 50w which is quite standard wattage. Not sure where the numbers are today.

Ya that's why I suggested them, but at 100w who knows.
OP, do you have splayed heatsinks? If so maybe snag some logic pucks or even better Elite96 V2 boards.
