Also got my new 400/600/1000 w turbo ballast and another XXXL and dual arc. I think heat is going to be an issue so it is coming down tomorrow and will be moved to the basement. That sucks :cuss: But I dont want to cut a hole in the ceiling or floor. I can fix the sheetrock but Im afraid of light coming out of the attic vent at night...not good lol I have to spend another $100 for 10 ga wire and a 30 amp breaker to run both cabs, fans and the 1k and 600 from the same outlet...heres some pics. Other that the pinholes Ilike it a lot. That dual arc is freakin BRIGHT and inside the tent you need sunglasses lol. Looks like normal day light. Should be good for pics and GREAT for growing :weed:

I have the Magnum XXXL, Can 33 and a S&P150 hanging. There is some deflection but is stable. I shook the shit out of it :shock: cause I damn sure dont want it to colapse...lol

I am going to experiment with makeing light traps out of wood or cardbord for the vent or some 6" elbows through the lower round duct holes. I will paint the trap black inside.

Also got my electrical stuff and drimell and drill out and installed a low / high speed switch to my td150 like I did on the other one. Its a two speed fan but you have to remove the cover and switch wires to change speeds not practical so I add a AB toggle from Home Depot.

Looking amazing! I love tent setups, really makes me miss mine! it's under my bed collecting dust right now guh damn roommates... anyhow I was considering running a 30 amp or 40 amp to the extra bedroom next year. Is there a way I can throw the extra breaker in and have the wire run along the floor (like out the front or side of the breaker box)? I am looking for a temporary solution that I could easily remove for inspections (apartment....sigh...) but get more power to the bedroom. 15 amp breakers with 2 or more bedrooms on them seem to be the norm around my parts.

You'll love the magnum and super blue tho, I find with that hood I can get the glass about 12" before some burn starts to occur, pretty damn close for 1k of power.

Edit: oh and progrips fing RULE, use them for everything now, but pricey but they are like indestructible and easy to adjust. I think you're stealing all my ideas ;) lol jk

edit edit: Unless you need to have the light on in the room the amount that leaks in the vents from the daylight is no problem as long as the blinds are closed. I can tell you this from experience, I even had my veg 18 hour stuff on right next too it and it didn't cause flowering problems (I did close the vents on the closest side of the tent tho).

youll love that dual arc, my buddy just got one and pictures come out GREAT and the plants seems to love the full spectrum. Nice tent! ive always wanted a nice tent but just never had the extra to get one. Gana pull up a seat and watch you fill all these tents and cabinets lol.

Thanks SG15, I love it, just needs a few minor mods. Roomates...Thats why I live alone plus Im older and everyone thinks I look like a cop or military so no one expexts a thing lol :-P

Yea bro just see what kind of panel you have GE, Cutler Hammer or whatever you have and get the right breaker, I forget the right size wire for 4o amp but 10 ga should be good I will have to look it up. I used a flexible 12 gauge wire not romex. I ran it under the base along the carpet and fished it under the carpet at doors.

Yea this is my second magnum. I used it with a light spreader last grow. Thats why I bought another one. I going to use it with the 600 and digilux mh in my homemade cabinet for veg and if I need another flower box I will through in my horti super hps. I was able to get it just inches away with the 600. I forgot to check the glass durring the 1k test...:wall: As sson as it is set up I will finish veg with the dual arc then go to flower...Im hoping for BIG :leaf: things lol

Oh you caught me! lol I didnt see your pro grips or would have stole it! I aint proud!!! lol I saw it in a video research the Raptor hood I think, and I said I have to have those...they are great...very well engineered and tuff as hell...:clap:

I did a lot of serches on here and other forums and thats what I read 90% of the time. Full spectrum HAS to be better I would think so we shall see. Let me know when your ready for a tent I have a couple of sites with great prices and even free shipping on one. Just depends on where you are. Ill hook ya up...

The girls are doing fine but a little slow because of the coolness but I got that woked out and running 78 with the T5 in the cabinet. Would have the 600 mh and other magnum in there but the digilux hasnt come in yet. Ill do an up date thursday. 6 weeks from seed. They are a lot bigger even after topping. I have to put together my other (first homemade cab 30"x48") put the T5 in there barely fits lol for clones and seedling, veg in the 4x4 cab 600 mh and flower in the 5x5 tent with 1k...thats the plan...I may need a 40 amp breaker lol have to do some figuring...lol

My clones are freakin amazing me...16 out of the 17 are looking great. One of the small ones the plug got stuck in the tray and I yanked its little ass apart..ooops lol

All the damn tops are perfect except SLG2, it is struggling a bit but still green, Im going to keep the best 9 maybe more not sure yet. Never grown a clone just pacticed. How big do clones get? As big as the mother?

What are you clonin in? i just made a aeroponics cloner( with a supersonic fogger and misters) and have it full of clones waiting for roots to show. The clone will grow as big as you want depending on veg time, as long as the plant stays in veg it will just keep growing lol i have a plant thats had a 90 day veg and i finally switched it to flower. I heard tops were hard to clone? What temp are your clones at, mine are in the basement which is 65-70 and the water is about the same temp maybe a little warmer i would think 78 at most is what the shitty little red mercury thermo says lol. Good luck with the cloning, so far its been 3 days and no roots showing yet i think lol.

Basic clone dome, tray, 1.5" tappered rw plugs, soaked in Dutch Master APS, used clonex but knocked the shit over and didnt get to coat them as much as I like, seed mat heater. Dont know the temps but its warm. Have a towel under to hold the heat, the cups hold the T5 up to reduce heat. just check often, keep misted when dry, just been lucky, all tops are doing well SLH2 is strugglin abit...:leaf:

They are one week old today...I topped on the 23rd...

Topping first then I let them go till 18". I use grow through rings I got for HoDepo. I cut them down to fit the pots. Each has thier own screen held in place by 3 wire rods so I can take them out and kiss them lol and movem around, I rotate them around the cabinet, then I will supercrop / lst the runners to keep them even and the light tight then once the buds really form I just let her go, by that time they stay pretty evn...work good last time, but Im uppotting to 3 gal this go, more roots, bigger bush, bigger buds and longer time between watering. Thats the plan...

WOW those are huge clones! maybe thats my problem my clones are very small, some are big though and i think i spotted a root last night on one of the bigger ones, its only been 4.1 days ( Herb.iq Grow trackin program has saved my life so many times! ) so maybe im just being impatient, first time for clones so i think thats the issue, ive read it takes around 10 days so ill wait till then to make assumptions. i didnt use any rooting shit in the water just gel on the cuttings after they were cut. How you likin those grow rings? I was gana go get a couple i have one and found it last night and it looks like my ak's should fit right in them as i just started flower about 4 days ago. That sharkbreath looks very sweet too, and bubba kush is a long time FAV of mine, just named my new dog Kush lol.

smaller clones root faster from my experience, and rooting drench's and such help but they are not necessary but they do help(after roots are showing). You will be fine with just gel n water.

and sl2 i think that is a cool ass way to do it, want to flower my og mom in my perpetual and that would be a perfect way to do it +rep for the idea.

I put a fan blowin up thier skirt from the start or maybe I should say diapers...lol Fan make the stems thick and the T5 keeps them tight...It pains me to cut them off. lol

First time I have used gel. The ASP treats the rock wool. I had about 60-70 % luck on my experiments with just APS but never grew them out. This time its 95% 16 of 17 so far and 9 tops to boot Im not counting the chickens yet lol. If I listen to everyone else I would never find anything new. I have done a lot of reserch over the last year or so and developed my own way...just given them time and keep warm moist and happy...I will shoot some tips I pick up and have applied.

If you want to lst with smart pots you have to have a grow ring to tie to. Plus it spreads them out for better light penitration. The ones doing the worst are the small ones. They are not tight in the RW and I think that why the are not as perky as the big ones.

KUSH I love that for a dogs name. I can see peoples face, Kush? Why did you name him that? lmao

You mean the grow rings? Thanks bro. I had seen something simular some where in a journal. I just happen to see them in HoDpo one dat and thought hey I can put those to use...They are 16" diameter and 24" tall. I cut the into smaller squares. I think they sell smaller ones but I like these....plus they are powder coated.

oh i was thinking they were just those circle tomatoes screens. I have one of those and was going to give it a wirl, they have little sticks to hold it up, but now that i look at my plants i think it would make them to big and i would lose to much space.

I went back and found my clone experiment I did last February just to share my experience. I did a lot of reading about cloning and came up with an idea to try it. I read the tops were hard to clone and should take lower smaller branches instead, but it was an experiment so WTF!

Here is what I did and it is so simple its stupid. Lol and util there is a way that will root in 5 days I will stck with this…like the saying keep it siple stupid'''

1.5" rockwool cubes(rapid rooters works well to), Dutch Master APS, seed mat heater, clone dome, 24 watt T5 HO and homemade reflector. That’s it…oh an 9 oz cups with holes in the bottom.

No dipping in water for bubbles, no cloning gel, no 45 degree cut, blah blah blah…lol

I did score the lower ½” – ¾” of the stem several times with a razor, stuck them in the pre soaked RW with APS and that’s it. They were ALL tops, 2 BB, 2 LSD, SB, RD and KB I left a SB untoped. 6 of 7 lived, 86%...

All 7 clones rooted in eight or nine days. All I heard was don’t use clear cups! The light will kill the roots, Well that’s BS!!! lol see for ya self, air is the roots worst enemy…I have had roots grow into the saucer when it was full of water with the 600hps on….they
only died when the water dried up…I don’t leave water in the saucer anymore.

8 days later WHALAH!!! Roots galore and ready for the big pot!!! Works for me…It was a just a test so I threw them in the trash…I could not finish them anyway...

The only thing I did dif on the current clones was I made sur I had a node in the area rooting, I think I got that from subcool...

Hope this can help someone...bottom line, there are many good ways to clone, just pick one and go for it! see what works for you bongsmilie:leaf:
