LOL I'm 40 something! I'm a metalhead and I'm the nicest guy one could meet. My rep is where yours is after only 3 months. No punk gangster here, just a real dude with experience who doesn't take shit from others. I may have been a bit harsh on the "grow tent" comment but who the hell grows in a tent and isn't still living at home with mom? Come on. Real growers built their own shit.
First of all you dont have half the rep I do second of all rep doesnt mean shit. You are an idiot and you were not harsh you were just stupid. To say something as stupid as "real growers build there own shit" shows you are an ignorant fuck. Keep up the good work meat whistle.

Furthermore I did a little cross checking and you mention you have a bunch of experience and your drying room dos 2 pounds a month but didnt you start a thread titled "learning to fly" in which you said you were glad to be here to gain knowledge because you have been growing for less than a year and have 5 harvests under your belt? A little advice: If you are gonna be a bullshit artist maybe you should know who you are bullshitting first.

Hello.

Nice to see sites like this exist. It's lonely up here.

New to the hobby almost 1 year in. 5 harvests under the green belt. Decided to join after continuing issues and the need to connect with others who enjoy this wonderful thing. V:peace:

Fuck your grow tent, real growers build their damn grow rooms. Either help with the question or move along. And I love soil! So take that as you will. This poster didn't mention anything about a growing medium so stick with the question or again, move on.
Say Rancho...how do you like grow tents?
hehe...
first thing you could use in that cavern is an aero-ponic cloner.
always nice to have a bunch of lettuce to cut for the flower corral.

Not one photo, not one journal. And you accuse others of being some sort of fake? You are laughable, for a short amount of time at least. You've been on here for 3 years yet I have about the same received rep you do after less then 3 months.

The room you refer to as a piece of shit is a dry room 6 1/2' high 5 wide 2 1/2 deep. Fits 2 lbs or more every month, works great.

Now I'm not going to show you pics of my home, setup and individual rooms, I plan to do a room thread end of year when we build our new rooms. But being you are obviously a child in need of some sort of treat I will post the following pics I took yesterday.
pics 1-3 are a veg/seedling/clone room in one, allows me up to 5 full plants for flower every 25-30 days. pics 4 and 5 are flower room II where they finish, all but one is a week away from chop. Flower room I was in darkness so no pics.

So now you can go in your corner and jerkoff or do whatever you do when your trolling is done.

ok ive ran into a problem.. i cant decide if i should wrap my room in the panda film then cut the door our, velcro zipper the entry and call it good.. OR put it up in sections.. seeing as how my room is 8x8 id do like 8.5 strips. Im honestly leaning more towards wrapping it then cutting the door out.. i feel like if i cut it in the 8.5 pieces the room wont seal right.

First hand exp... those sticky zippers work awesome. When zippered up my room walls expand and no air comes outof zipper(only panda film walls with 2x3s every so often.

Sorry there couldn't be more here to contribute to your thread. Especially ones with pictures.

As for panda I just take the entire roll and spread it out as best I can then begin stapling at one corner across the top about 1-2 feet then I go down at the corner where I started, and then top to bottom on those 1-2 feet, then continue at top and go another 1-2 feet or do it by your sections whatever is easiest for you. First time I would go slow. Just visually make it even at the top and you should hit all the corners good.

As for door leave that alone until last. I do walls, roof, floor then door. Now I'm not sure how you are doing the door, here is how I do it.

Here is my smaller flower room. It's tight in this room as there are three rooms. But this is the front door from the left side. Notice the random pieces of velcro placed on outside of door, these are for allowing me to keep my door open at different levels and for bringing over the strips of panda on each side of door after door is fully closed, the strips on the side cover where the velcro on the door frame and panda is, ensuring no light gets in or out. And you can see the frame of door is the 2x2.

100_0595a.jpg

Here is door open 1/4. Notice how velcro is on frame and on white(inside) of panda.

100_0596a.jpg

Here is door open a little over halfway.

100_0597a.jpg

Door open about 80%(max) as rest of panda for door is stapled and gorilla taped on.

100_0598a.jpg

Now looks are deceiving, this is a 7x5x7 1/2 high room, I just couldn't get a better angle and give a good door shot being another room's door is just a few foot across from this one.

You can see yoyo hangers in this room, only reason they are still there is because the room is so tall. All my other rooms have the cord set-up.

Here is this room's carbon and fan setup just above door, secured to 2x4s with heavy duty rope/racket system. Fan is screwed into 2x4 but there is rubber piece in between fan mount and wood as to lesson vibrations and noise.

100_0599.jpg

Notice how I even panda my 2x4s and 2x2s, I'm anal. And I panda from inside, door is secured on outside and to ensure no light leaks I also buy the cheaper 3-4mm thick black poly and secure that all the way around room except at door, so basically I have a layer of 6mm panda on inside of frame and 3-4mm thick poly outside.

Here are those strips of panda on the sides of door to cover light leaks that will happen when using velcro.

Strips not secured, they are just holding to the sides by other pieces of velcro. You can see side of 2x2 door frame. Black is door closed and in between door and wood is velcro where light leak happens. Really though, it would take a very powerful light to get into the room, but again, I'm anal so I did this.

Same exact pic placement except side strip is brought across and secured on a piece of velcro. No light leaks!

I use a simple propagation tray and dome for clones, ain't too difficult.

As for weight my lowest single plant has been 135-136 grams. Something like that. The fact you would even come back with such a low amount on an attempt to insult and instigate tells me you are not use to good yields just like your buddy bigv, who doesn't seem to own a camera either.

WOW very helpful thanks so much +rep.. im will get more pictures up as soon as i cut the film.. i will be wrapping from the inside also..
I actually had to move my room forward about a foot due to my power box location, i wanted everything to have easy access all the way around my 8x8x6 1/2 room.. ALSO I have a roll of 10x100 6MM panda film.. this stuff is heavy duty i love it!

fuck your ghetto ass! i bet a bunch of "real growers" are laughing at your staple gun and panda film, build some real walls!

toorare, just wondering why you didn't just build two sheetrock walls up against a corner of your existing walls? a more sturdier setup would have been ideal if you were willing to build your own..... a tent would have been nice too since your building on limited funds, used it a few rounds then sell it and build your ideal room... if funds were that limited you could have just hung you lights in the open room and would have done pretty well...then all you would have had to build is a small box for clones and mothers...goodluck hope you get some buds soon!

why dont you just frame in a real door, buy one for cheap on craigslist. much more convenient than rolling up and rolling down plastic everyday

Ok UPDATE!! electrical is all taken care of. The plug on the wall is a 20a 250v duplex plug.. this will be for my 2/1000 watt ballasts ONLY! ON A 20 amp 240 service.. the line ran down the wood is my 120 for fans etc.. its a 20 amp breaker also just 120.. going to try and get this room wrapped in panda film soon.. gotta pic up my 240 cords for the ballast in the morning.. more updates soon.. thanks for all the help RIU.

Didnt go against the walls brcause they leak in some places even tho I dry locked them.. I wanted ample room plus my power box is on one of those walls.. tents cost a lot more than panda film and 2x4s a decent tent is over 200 im under 200 for the lumber and film. . I will be wrapping the room in a few days then hanging my lights and doing a temp test run.. as for the open room idea ill stick with a smaller enclosed space.. 10 plants 2000 watts of light.. we should be just fine..

Morning yall.. ive been very buay this morning!! Pocked up some odds and ends I need to hang my lighting as I will explain.. instead of using the triangle hooks on top of the Grow hoods I'm going to take Ranchos advice and make my own pully system that way the hoods can hit the top of my floor and I will see have an extra couple of inches at least 4 to 5. Should have panda film up by tuesday.. more pics soon..
