im wondering if you grow. cant find anykind of pic, dunno if you have 1 plant.. or a room. I would love to see your 6ft dwc.. what size bucket.. hows the hood hold up under that weight? how many plants can you fit in your res? you saying you can EQUAL some product.. i wanna see something =/

Im with you Tip Top there is no since in spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars (unless you have it to waste) to grow something, when you have the same stuff out back in the shed. It may not be as pretty or as durable but it will serve the EXACT same purpose and yield the same.

you dont have an industrial pump on hand? a tote that isnt rubbermaid? cause thoes bend and the hoods cave in. =/ Quality is Quality. :)

My buckets cozt about £5, they don't bend at all thanks :) Niether do i need an industrial pump as there is simply no need for one in my setup.

I see this kind of debate as trying to justify cars for getting to the loca paper shop, sure you can buy a labo and sure, it's got V10, your slkoda doesn't have V10, doesn't mean there's any need or use for said V10 though.

There's a random plant i'm growing right now, i do not clean the res, i do not check ph, i do not check EC, i do not have fancuy pumps and airstones, the airstone is so clogged it barely bubbles, yet somehow without spending lots of money i manage to do just great :)

That went straight into flowering in a 10L tote, with the stem selotaped to the net cup, it yielded maybe 3.5 ounces. Didn't need no fancy expensive biots and peices to do it, just some tap water and some basic nutes.

yes but my stem towards the bottoms are over an inch and a half thick.. so in comparison .. uhh my 200 bucks went further =/

Stem size would of course be environmental and also strain dependant. Mine are in 3" net cups with lots of hydroton, not much room for it to grow too large.

Not far off.

You have already given a yield that i can quite happily match, then you tried to take the aproach of i'm not a grower, and now you're trying to use stem diameter as a justification for the price of something? Mhhmhmmmm. So so far you don't have a thing over my cheap systems other than the actual parts, which seem to have been shown to not really make much of any difference.

sorry but a 2 gallon tote for dwc seems somewhat pointless imo. but your situation may be diff so more power to you. Bigger TOTE bigger yield. the top 1/3 of my plants are the size of yours their..

I have no restrictions thus home made does not and cannot dwarf my setup. imo your totes would be a hassle to refill with a plant that yields as much as you say. not having any meter makes that worse. so i still dont see how your setup even compares 1 two gallon dwc bucket covered with foil next to a 18gal. i admire the creativity. but why compare? im sure your sneakers wrapped in plastic do you justice in the rain but ill go buy me some rain boots.

I have no restrictions in terms of money, i could hapily put $200 into something, pint being there isn't any point. Yours yields little more than mine does, despite you haveing an additional light and shit loads of space, mine cost a few quid, that costs many.

And why compare? well because you have spent $200 plus, and i have spent maybe $25 and from everything so far stated they perform the same.

And my plant is 1/3 the size of yours? lol, so you'rs is 15 foot tall yeah?

Who cares though, we both get simliar results, if you feel that money is jsutified then whoop, myself, i am fine knowing i spent a fraction for same results. You copare it to having rain boots, or plastic covered shoes, not quite, more like me having rain boots and you having a designer brand set of rain boots, sure it can makebyou feel good but boots are boots, your system does NOTHING that mine doesn't, just as the designer boots wouldn't.

Remember, it's a bucket of water with air being supplied to it, doesn't take a degree in engineering to make one, or industrial materials

no need to be paranoid man, post the pics. no fed is worried about any op that is under 4 digits.. Buck for Buck.. my setup is bigger. so I understand you spent under 100 bucks.. but i have bigger plants =/ tho my light has alot to do with that. but if you wanna switch this one sided argument over to which is better T5 or Mh/HPS we can do that

so far your all talk. =/ if you own 2 600w. lights.. you DONT have buckets like yours under it. =/ you upgrade from 2gal. at some point

Pics of what? Where has the paranoid thing come from?

Don't know why i bother asking though, you know that when you contradict soneone and he then has to troll around your long dead threads, that well, there's simply no point having a debate with that person  keep trolling away :)

Remember, it's a bucket, it's got water in it, and you add bubbles, doesn't cost $200 to do that  although i just have to look at pc worlds repair department to know that there are obviously very gullible people out there :)

I just love it when people on the internet start telling you what you do or don't do and what you have or havn't done. You don't know anything about me :D

Bigger TOTE, MORE AIR, More Light = Bigger plants. all their is too it. you can go cheap, you get what you pay for.. do 2gal buckets come with drains at the bottoms? Quality is Quality you have ONLY shown me a dirty pic of a plant that looks like it lacks HPS love

you dont have 1 thread with any real grow pics or info. Im under the impression your using cfls for some reason too. Looks to me youve had a ton of problems this grow.. and this last 1 being my 1st.. i think i take the gold :) 600w club go hard or go home

It's an airstone, a bucket and a pump, keep convincing yourself that they need cost $200

Lol, this amuses the shit out of me. You're telling me my DWC setup is crap compared to yours, yet you believe that i grew this

in said DWC bucket with CFL's  you must be doing simply AWFUL if i'm now matching you with CFL's

Props to all DWC but your 25 bucks bought you that. My point exactly 1 plant 1 bucket.. :) i take my MJ more seriously than you do. and im just beginning. when i spend 700 on my co2 setup youll compare your home made buckets im sure. sorry but maybe its my OCD but im not sloppy.. i like my area clean and non cluttered. and when growing you dont want a bunch of SEPARATE 2 GAL DWC buckets everywhere... that gets messy

you have what me and my friends consider a Wal-Mart grow. i can build your setup with 1 trip to Wal-Mart. thats the :D FYi. I am going big so IT MAKES NO SENSE FOR HOME MADE. when your being professional about it.

So 25 bucks x 3 would be $75, not $200 plus postage, cus that can only grow three plants

So now you know how seriously i take my cannabis, lol :D And your thoughts on multiple buckets, well that's totally subjective, i can do a perpetual grow, you can't as it's all off the same reservoir.

Again though, it's a bucket, you put water in it, and a pump adds air, feel free to make that concept as expensive for yourself as you like though. You appear to be one of the peple that firly belileves everything is justified by it's price, you should probagly go and check out BC seeds, you'll love them!

Must be pretty depressing that a wall mart grow yields the same as your very high end professional rig  I can go from 2 gallong to 50 gallong for a few quid more, still wallmart :D
