cal/mag Deffiency

I have been having problem with my PPP plants for about a week now. At first thought it was spider mites and treated for that (ended up do more harm then good). But I'm pretty sure that spider mites whernt the problem, I though i found one or 2 but now that the problems advanced it look more like a calcium or magnesium deficiency. I ruled this out at first because the soil I'm using (pro-mix ultimate organic) has lime in it and I added a little bit more be for potting. But I also use distilled water with no cal/mag in it so I'm thinking thats the problem.

I purchased some general organic Calmg+ and plant on using it next time I water. I just want to get some more opinions about what the problem might be. I pretty sure the ph is alright since there is lime in the soil and I aways ph my water to 6.5-6.8 .

Also how often should I use the calmg+ Should i use it every watering at like 1/4 strength, or just when I feed.

I agree with ya, it doesn't sound like a PH problem, it looks like calcium and mag def. I use Calmag Plus(w/trace nutes), and use it 1/2 strength,(about 50 PPM of Ca, and 20 PPM of Mag) every watering. I've been doing that since they were about 8" tall, and they look great. If I were you, I'd go full strength, being that their already deficient. Then, step down to 1/4-1/2 strength, after they've recovered. That should maintain them.

Also, seriously consider foliar feeding them with Calmag, til they've recovered. It's alot more efficient than rootfeeding, plus, will bypass any possible soil issues. Use it right along with your normal feeding.

Hey I know its an old thread actually a year to the day but Im having the same problem. I saw in your first pic they were in small cups, root bound plants show signs of calcium deficiencys. Howd the problem turn out after you transplanted, did you foliar feed?
