callin' all cfl stealth growers

I only speak here becuz I have grown with both roseman, so that does make me a CFL grower, unless this is like H.S. and only the cool kids are aloud to join. The point I was trying to make earlier is that floros can be effective but certainly not efficient the way most people design their setups. I was trying to help bro... why you gotta get offended.

Go back and look, I made suggestions and even support the use of floro technology. I was trying to offer up some advice to cut your power costs and maybe increase your yields. If you think your such a master grower that can't use any advice why are you even on here. There are a million ways to try and grow these plants, I never once said your way was wrong, just look at the logistics of your grow. Floros used in flowering are best to use scrog technique and tubes, not my opinion, just look at how the pieces fit and you will see what I mean.

And Roseman, I believe the word STEALTH is included in the heading.... not quite sure you qualify for that category, don't wanna fight, but you threw down the gauntlet, I am just picking it up to smack you with it:evil::evil::joint::joint::peace::peace:

I was just trying to be funny, Boulderheads, and I have nothing but respect for your opinions and attempt to help me and any grower on here.

I know we're both men of PEACE and Caring.

I salute you for your growing knowledge.

Cool man(shouldn't have taken it personally, in between harvests tho and meds are running in short supply) and I salute you for being generous and passing on your old gear to new growers. That is very commendable. I know you know what you are doing too, the results speak for themselves.

you are correct that we are both men of peace and care about the well being of our fellow growers.

+rep for being a standup guy!

A fine example of how grown men and gentlemen and men of peace behave, and a lesson many on this site could learn too.

This is my stealth CFL grow. It is a 2 stage veg and flower(white cab is veg, chest of "drawers" are flower). The bud is from my first grow and the plants in there are my second grow(clones off of the original 2 clones I was given). If it wasnt for this site and particularly all the CFLers out there my plants would all be dead. I am running 400watts of 2700K in my flower cab with fruitopia reflectors, and bout 200watts of 6500K in my veg cab. I am using PC fans hooked up to a variable volts converter as exhaust and intake on both my cabs. Go CFLers! Good growing everyone:clap:

PS. I threw in a sweet pic of a snapping turtle I took.

Hahah very sick setup, chillums, one of the best setups ive seen.. Funny as hell using the fruitopia cans as reflectors, cool as hell tho. + rep

here are two plants 7 days from seed under cfls have not flowered yet but wanna show what three weeks looks like under cfls you can find this current grow in my sig.

Just put these in my AK48 day 37 thread in this forum...but wtf...these are 100% cfl grown and now on day 42.

I am anxious to see the yield. Any people want to guess? Take a guess in my AK48 day 37 thread in this forum...closest guess for dry weight wins...

a gold star? :P

Oh the plant is just short of 3 feet tall from soil line to tip of tallest cola.

Roseman: your hands must be made out of something other than flesh, because I've burned the everloving crap out of myself on 26W CFL bulbs more times than I can count. I definitely couldn't hold a lit bulb in my hand! Are your bulbs enchanted? LOL

Thanks jahman! It's coming together piece by piece like most grows. Today I will be harvesting my second grow. I now have a total of 21 plants(mostly my clone army). And I have since added more lights and fans. I am very fond of LST and am getting quite proficient at it. My clones are 6-8 inches each and do not stretch at all when put in flower, making for very predictable lollipops. Check it out.

Sorry, I'm not buying any of it. I started out with cfls, one big one (200 watt) and four 2' 25 watt T5s, one on each side. Grew that way for 2 years, I switched to hids 5 months ago and the first grow in the same space size netted me almost 6 times what I was yielding with cfls. It's not that cfls don't produce dense buds, they do, but only on the very tops, all the other buds below are airy and give true meanig to the word popcorn buds. In the end, I'm not worried about how dense I can get the buds...I'm more concerned with dried plant matter per sq/foot or total yield after harvest. I went from averaging almost a half pound with cfls to 1.30 lbs with hids, all from one 600 watt bulb. And with new digital ballast, it'll plug into a regular 120volt outlet, my electric bill only rose by 15 bucks a month...sweet!
