Calling all UK CLF growers...where to buy stuff?

Hey guys,

started this thread over in the diy section...

https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/207242-diy-mothers-laundry-basket-stealth.html

been trying to find adapters for the (Edison) screw fit cfls so i can have mutiple (2 but would much prefer 4) running at the same time via one plug.

a member called "floridasucks" managed to find the thing im looking for here at amazon (usa)...the uk site didnt have them. Was going to just buy them, but they call them something else...Pass & Seymour.

http://www.amazon.com/Pass-Seymour-128-15A-Adapter/dp/B000BOATCE/ref=pd_sim_dbs_hi_1

I also now know that i purcahsed the wrong spectrum of bulb for vegging my mother plants...so if the online shop also sold the correct cfl bulbs i would purcahse them all now...saving a little in postage etc.

Thanks in advance

I searched but didn't find. What you could do is get two normal holders and then wire them up in series, that would save on plugs and wires if that's what you're worried about.

Good thread! I searched for multi bulb holders but gave up over here and eventually just wired 2 bulbs into each plug so at least that cut my plugs in half, from 16 to 8 !! Ran all the wiring neatly together with cable ties but theres still miles of it in there. The US guys seem to be able to get 3/4 multi holders but I've searched B&Q's, Homebase etc with no luck.

Heres a good source for the actual CFL's them selves, (link) the 6400k's ('daylingt blues') are pretty hard to find on the high street but the 2700's can be got anywhere pretty well.

I think we need a 'Walmarts' !! :-)

Tell me about it man, i have been to lots of shops and even electrical shops which sell just...you guessed it electical shit. Lights, tools, spare sockets you name it. BUT no freaking splitters. wtf.

There must be a site which is based in the uk...if not im starting one haha!

Since this is getting bumped back upto the top

anybody else know where to buy these multi cfl adapters/splitters/hardtofindfuckers online?

They just carn;t be found, are not made anymore for the u.k market.
You can get them from Ebay and other places but they will not be a uk type fitting, bc & es.
their height was mid 60's when people used them with 1 bulb in, and they use to connect other things to it too like iron, t.v
Just use the single light fittings, £1.92 inc vat from screwfix

yeah they don't do them over here, i spent months looking and by that time i'd saved enough cash for an HID. and Asda is our version of wallmart, it's owned by them....they're just not quite as useful or well stocked

Nice one dude, i purchased the 30w (150w) bulbs. They sound ideal! My clones were looking a little "droopy"...i only have 1 100w cfl (2500k) in there just now so i hope its just that.
