Can dwc plants recover from lack of oxygen?

yes if you give it more air. Get a bigger air pump and air stone. The more air the better. She's not a goner yet but will be if you don't fix the problem.

Thats good news. I got two more air stones yesterday, but I don't know if it was the wacky way I tried wire them. But when I try to run 4 air stones with one pump only one air stone works properly. Would I benefit from purchasing a gang value or should I look into getting another air pump? Right now I'm running one 12in air stone that looks to be fully functioning and a larger one that doesn't seem to be working to well (it only pumps bubbles though half the air stone) on a tetra 20 gallon pump thoughts?

you need more air from what you say, what you didnt say is how big your res was. I think there is a post on how many watt pump for how many gals. is required. fish store pumps are ok but lack a little on air out put. the advantage is they are quiet,I have used in the past a 4 outlet fish pump with 4 - 6 inch stones in 1- 5 gal. bucket, just an example the more bubbles the better

I am working with a 12 gallon rubbermaid with a 6 gallon res, I was more curious of if the shotty wiring would cause the directed air to be less powerful and if implying a gang valve would be beneficial, ovtherwise i would cave and pick up another air pump

I bought a one of those gang valves.. It was garbage. I was better off with the tubing going straight from pump to airstone. I use a 20-60 gallon aqua culture pump for each 5 gallon dwc bucket. My pumps each have 2 outlets..

I would go with a bigger pump i recently ran into the same issue and tried to cheap out with a gang valve and it was a horrible waste of money on the first airstone in the line worked while the second third and fourth barely pushed bubbles to the top
