Can i dim my 600w hps to 400w ?

Posted earlier few people said its my problems are to do with heat stress.

Question is can i dim my 600w hps to 400w ?

Equipment is all new.
I did read that a bulb needs to run 100 hours before it can be dimmed.

Yes you can dim it if you wish to conserve some heat.

personally I would be checking this bud for mould in the area marked.

the Leaf in that area look a a lot like it’s rotting from the stem inside the bud out (which is where bud rot begins)

Never heard of the 100 hour thing, where did you dig that up? Spectrum might change with dimming but who cares, neither you or the plants will notice.

That tells nothing, what website is that cut from. Suggesting a complete grow kit at the bottom in that pic seems bunk too.

I have run well over 10000 hours dimmed on multiple ballasts, new bulbs, old bulbs, never issues.

If it’s a concern with you, run the bulb at 600 for 5 days 24/7.

Im on week 6 so its ran over 100 hours, trying to phase out my problems my 1st time to be honest i aint got a bloody clue what im doing.
Suprised i even made it this far.

Atm problems are leaves are drying and wilting,
And i notice on 1 bud its completely dry and changed colour to the rest not sure if its the light or bud rot. Be just my luck its bud rot

Yh ive seen a few horrible looking leaves, just dark it had no white spores or anything on it just really wilted and dead looking
