can i dry in 1 week?

is 1 week enough time to dry without a heater? im not trying to dry them top notch but i do want them at least decently done. should i plan on more than a week?

depends on the environment. a week is a reasonable amount of time. i've had buds dry in as little as 4 days hanging in a barn in the fall.

The slower you dry your bud, the better it will taste.

Two weeks is normally the minimum before it should be smoked.

6-8 weeks is ideal.

1 week is good and then cure them in a glass jar (in the dark) for three days. When in the jar make sure you check them every day for mold. Also, make sure that the jar is more than 2/3 full.

hey check out Sub's subforum.. theres a sticky to harvesting by mz jill

my method: hang dry until outside is crispy and the stem will snap and peel (5-8 days), then remove the large stem and cut into buds.. place in a jar and burp the remaining moisture for another week to month.

if you dry to fast the chlorophyll never has a chance to evaporate and dissipate, which results in the hay smell/taste

Well fuck it then. About 2 hrs ago I started my harvest on a G13 Pineapple Express. Got a wet popcorn nug and threw it in the grinder. Into the Iolite it went. I let it heat about 5 cycles. Took 3 good pulls. It hit within 5 mins. The most giggly ga ga shit. Upbeat funny fun shigidy booboo. Just my 02......

yeah, drying and curing is a much more touchy subject with joint smokers over bowl smokers and vaporizers and there is a good reason for that.
