THC is only found in the triches, not the plant material itself...
totally not true...all parts of the plant have THC, it just isn't concentrated...it is tied in all the plant material...is it worth it to try to get it out of the leaf matter? Not especially, but it is there...

I vaporize leaves..if the plant is just vegged you would literally have to smoke a few plants worth, but once you begin flowering the under leaves do the trick when you are waiting on actual bud to smoke...true story...I very literally do it all the time...lol. Sometimes just to get excited about the finished product

Uhmmm..Excuse me Miss, you've mention that all of the plant has THC and are dispersed throughout the plant. I am sure that it will not be as a higher level that it would be as if it was in the flowering stage. It is not sticky with resin as SFguy had mentioned ( he is just pulling our buds.) Even though, they do smell like marijuana. You also mentioned that i would have to smoke a few plants, hmmm i don't have that amount to smoke yet. These are just the colas/top part of the main stem/clump of leaves that i have available now. Looks like i can make 5 joints out of when they are dry. It is all organic so i am sure it would be safe. I've have never tasted the flavor of the colas/top of the main branch in 8 weeks of veg and I dont think SFguy has either. My prediction is: it would be like smoking a marijuana flavor cigarette without the high buzz. I might have a chance to feel a slight buzz (fingers are crossed.) With nothing to smoke i might have a little to gain.

finally someone admits smoking it. I had to google the word (placebo.) hamster please be patient ( hahaha me telling someone to be patient.) it is the second day going on the drying process and its hard to dry something that is kept in a paper bag in the dark. I poured it out so you can see it against my home made ruler. I can feel softness it dose not crunch when i run my fingers on them. I am sure i would know if it is a buzz or placebo or not since i am on many medications and am very good at waiting to see if the medications kicks in. Mr. Montana, growing cannabis for the first time can be quite confusing and there are many things that us newbies don't know. I have spent many hours for the past 9 weeks looking for informations. I find that sites will have different informations on the same subjects. Thus leaving one like me ( a newbie ) still a little confuse and wanting to know the fact. When i asked the question no one answered that they did it and what it was like until the hamster showed up. Since i am already in the process without anything to smoke, i will follow through as soon as the top leaves/colas dries up and share my experience with other newbies that might have the same question. How come when someone really needs an answer to a question everyone will look and not comment but this guy obviously hasnt been doing his due dilligence in the research department gets comments from everyone about his vegging tops that he wants to smokel.

In part, I think because the question was fairly unusual, not one asked here often. I think what happens at times is someone will need advice and someone who could help them reads the question, but doesn't respond with advice ... it's usually for one of two reasons. One: the question has been done to death and the person thinks, no, not again, not a 100th time, I'm not saying anything. Two: because it is a hotbed question, one where there is a singular answer, but there remains two separate beliefs, and it always turns into an argument ..... and they don't want to start it and risk getting caught up in it.

A third possibility is if someone asks the same question in multiple forums. Some people dislike that and if they reply it will only be some cut or a joke.

u can smoke em just need a lot more i always smoke every part of my plant, nothing goes to waste i learn a lot about how my plant is going to be by smoking all of it,i save tips which is what your talking about and any leaves and dry it all once i have enough for a joint i smoke it. u will need a whole joint for a mild buzz, i then smoke any popcorn bud i pick out later and i usually take a small sample at the halfway mark too

Well said. I am fairly surprised of 2 things. 1. You are giving this thread any of your time and.. 2. you have been so diplomatic about your answers in this thread when you know it would be a big waste of this guys time to smoke vegging leaf "colas".

Good morning all. I am still alive this morning. I went to check on my colas/plant tips and they look dryer than the day before ( as you can see in the pic against my store bought measuring tape)but the texture is soft and flexy . I am not getting a dbKICK out of waiting either and wondering what curiosity might do to the cat (he is a mean looking cat.) The Bud Buddha is my kind of guy but he failed to give us specs and more detail of what he smoked so it still leave a guy like me pondering. Maybe every guy in SF knows what colas/marijuana plant tips looks like but i am sure there are newbies that dose not as they sit and wait for their babies to grow one so they can chop it off. And after their babies has grown and produce a nice tip/cola they would wonder if it was any good to smoke it (like me.) So there for, If they stumble onto this thread they may find out more details of what the colas/plant tips taste like and the affect. These are not available at the dispensary by the way and not many if any had tried it. Just give them colas/ plant tips some more drying time and the full detail will be here. BTW...what is the drying time for colas/plant tips in DSC02736.jpga paper bag?

why don't you just buy some weed if you are so desperate for a smoke? or is it just satisfying your curiosity now? i think you should roll it up and smoke it now.
