can you grow

can you grow with pretty much skipping the veg stage? like start off with 12 12 and use 2700k lights?

Simple, quick answer: YES, although your yield will be really REALLY small. But it CAN be done.

its called 12/12 from seed, and yes you can do it, but the plant wont flower untill its sexually mature anyways. so i always veg for at least 2-4 weeks because they grow better that way

What's the point? Running the lights more - up to 24 hrs - allows the plants to grow more and faster, than they will under 12/12 - and prevent them from blooming before you want them to. If you run 12/12 light and 2700K, you'll probably have some little scrawny plants, that may may not bloom - or if they do, it'll take forever, and you'll have a tiny amount to show for your effort.

yeah, i agree with highattitude... i dont understand why people do these 12/12 from seed grows.. kinda seems like a waste of time and energy to me... you would get much better yields going with either 18/6 or 24/0... the longer a plant is in vegetive growth, the bigger it will be in the end and therefore will yield better.. i do understand that people have to deal with height issues and all, but i wouldn't recommend 12/12 from seed... thats just my humble opinion though..

i am currently growing 12/12 from seed because of space issues, tryin to keep'em short. ive harvested one (nirvana SR)and got 10g dry (fluffybud), it was still aout 14" tall. THen again i have one bagseed sativa thats about 2ft tall wont finish til Dec). i'll be harvesting Sannies The One X Chronic is aboout a wk ,12/12 from seed, bout 14-18in tall-dense bud expecting around half a zip on it. --150w hps-- soil---1 to 2Quart pots---

though im not disappointed with my work, especially only being my second grow(9plants in all this grow)next batch will veg for 3wks-------top----lst-----then flower to increase yield.
