They have little choice, Trudeau was running left of the NDP and the NDP has a large influence in policy with a minority government. If the Tories get in they will roll back all the socially and economically progressive policies they and the liberals created. Keep the corrupt tory politicians pandering to asshole lunatics and bigots out of power!

he looks vaguely like Tucker Carlson deciding that yes, it was just a fart
It's responsible (minority) government responding and adapting to social and technological change, it's happening in liberal democracies all over the place and on the EU level too. Governments respond to this shit or the country suffers for it, as outsiders control our political narratives with bots on social media. You too, but they have allies in congress and benefit from hostile forgien help, Uncle Sam's enemies know what will fuck America, republicans will! Any enemy of America will promote their rule, they long for another Trump, domestic chaos, social division and grid locked government, many republicans want this too.

5 people killed in a ‘horrendous’ condo shooting in Canada, police say
CNN —
Five people were killed in a shooting at a condominium in a Toronto suburb Sunday night, police said.

At around 7:20 p.m., officers responded to an active shooting call at the building in Vaughan, a city just north of Toronto, York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween said during a news conference.

Police found a “horrendous scene where numerous victims were deceased,” MacSween said. A surviving victim who was shot was taken to a hospital in serious condition, police said in a news release.

The male gunman was shot by an officer during a confrontation and died, the chief said. Police have not released the shooter’s name.

Police will not publicly name the victims until their families are notified of their deaths, MacSween said. Constable Laura Nicolle told CNN the incident was the “most terrible call I’ve seen in my entire career.”

Nicolle said in an earlier news conference it appears the victims were from more than one condominium unit.

Residents were evacuated while emergency response personnel worked to clear the building and ensure there were no more victims. The residents waited for hours as police cleared the building floor-by-floor, finally returning to their homes after midnight.

A motive in the shooting rampage has not been released and police did not share what led up to the killings. Authorities believe there is no longer any threat to the community.

If you want them to risk their asses for freedom, why take it from them? Some simple guidelines might be appropriate, they are suppose to be officers and ladies after all with commissions. They can evolve their own traditions, they are suppose to be professionals, like lawyers and we all know what their ethics are like.

A special program where they are required to move to the east coast for 5 years. These are educated immigrants with initiative and probably businesses. The west coast is too crowded and housing prices are already too high, they don't need the extra load and the east coast offers many opportunities too. People would still get in the regular way, but they would be fast tracked and have other incentives if they agreed to help out their new country for a few years, housing is cheaper and there are jobs to be had and it is cheaper for everything.

These people want to come here because they see the value of liberal democracy, most are doing ok economically, many better than most Canadians.

It shouldn't affect those with pilot's licenses, many don't fly from their fields anyway and FPV plane and drones seldom do, or are even members. A lot of these people make beautiful and accurate replica of actual aircraft and fly them LOS from a field or runway to admire their handy work. FPV planes are often made of tough foam and can be hand launched and land in the grass or snow.

They don't do much of this from model fields and that's what gets the young guys excited, but the law is strict and posting videos is a good way to get busted, so they go where other people are not.

I don't think setting up additional special immigration programs for people from Hong Kong is a good idea, or fair to so many people from other countries. I would totally support additional special refugee programs for people that are fleeing violence or persecution. In my experience, people that are already economically ok are less accepting of the communities they are joining and are more likely to try and change those communities to be more like their country of origin. I am not saying we shouldn't accept any immigrants that are already economically ok, but we should not be adding more special immigration programs.

Can you explain what you believe the appropriate response Mr. Trudeau should have had to the SNC Lavalin controversy? It's kinda a loaded scenario with no good answer, is it not?
The appropriate response would have been to stay the fuck out of it. He influenced the outcome and that was a bad response.
