Just read a couple of threads from your quotes on your (sig)? some ruthless shit some peeps get into, gives me a better context. RIU gets a pretty bad rap on other sites, the sites that are more heavily modded albeit. It's refreshing to 'clean out the pipes' here.
It can still be a "dangerous place" for people who believe and say stupid shit, someone might disagree, and they will need to back up what they say, or it could be embarrassing. We actually had people on here stupid enough to defend Trump and it is always a losing proposition when they try to defend the indefensible.

I haven't had one for a month, there is a shop 5 minutes away.
There's a bit of a debate between Halifax and Edmonton on who owns the Donair crown. I don't have any input since I've never had a Halifax Donair. But here in town, there's definitely a distinct difference in the quality of the Donair meat and how they garnish the Donair.

Edited for more context.

In the book, she recounts the provocation of 2014, when Edmonton journalist and donair expert Omar Mouallem made this declaration at a storytelling event: “Edmonton is the true donair champion, the true mecca of donairs.”
Seven months later, Halifax City Council declared the donair the official food of Halifax.

stupid enough to defend Trump
even hated people say and do things that make sense an defend themselves. Even our prime minister, sometimes. At least they lead, while we follow, I'll give them both that. I thought that both guys could have exploited foreign opinion to benefit each of our nations AND North America as a whole. Both sides of the same coin type thing, but boy I WAS WRONG. Every nation hates both of us more and our citizens hate themselves lol. I feel the WEST is the BEST, thnx Jim....

Its a powerful song.
People try to create meaning where perhaps there wasnt any but your comment made me look for meaning

This snake is “seven miles” long: seven is a very meaningful number and also holy, as in the seven days of Creation, the deadly sins, the liberal arts, musical notes, days of the week, etc.
“The west is the best” refers both to western society’s belief of being the height of civilisation in the modern world and Morrison’s love of the west coast of America, specifically L.A.
Once reached, the West is the perfect place: the line “Get here and we’ll do the rest” sounds like an allusion to American propaganda, alluring people to come to the western world.

I don't have enough apps and computer savvy to put the GIF of Forrest gump running away on my windows 98 operating program but I didn't want to make it too offensive, as I'm growing attached to the humour in this thread.
