I just scored some Reserva's R.K.S. beans and have germed them yet ... I too am looking for that old school rotten dead skunk in the road smell ... Don't get me wrong I like sweet smelling skunky strains but I want that nasty sour skunk I remember when I first started smoking in the mid 80's .... If anyone has any suggestions ???????

And I can't find Cannaventure gear in stock anywhere ... His End of the World drop is coming soon but I don't think in fact I know he is NOT making any RKS beans right now :(

True skunk is long gone. You will get the skunky, fruity type not quite true skunk.
I don't think this is quite true, it's in someones closet right now! Some old biker hippie has that muther f***er right now! With legality it will surface.... push for it! ;)

If it is in someone's closet right now they arent letting anyone else have it. That is the equivalent of being long gone. There are many, many people looking. If it were available, someone would have found it by now.

Every 3-6 months this question pops up on this site. The answer is the same every time, there are some really good skunk strains, including Skunk #1 and Super Skunk, Sweet island Skunk, RKS Skunk, but the legit skunk we used to smoke from the late 70's through the early 90's has disappeared.

I don't buy it, it's out there. I know some dudes that probably have it, but that was another life ago. It would take more effort than it's worth to hunt for it, but it will surface eventually. Geez althor don't be such a pessimist. lol ;)

Yeah just thinking about being in high school living in the piedmont .. There were some growers that were putting out " homegrown " and zips were $100 bucks and if you wanted a elbow it was 1,600 a Q $25 didn't matter how much you bought it was in those increments no questions asked ... Shit that was neon green huge semi-tight spears that smelled EXACTLY like a pine tree ... Or then there was that herb that I'm desperate to find / smoke or really just smell again ... Straight up SKUNK .. It would reek so bad it would pollute my parents entire house and they'd complain about the possibility of a skunk spraying in the neighborhood .... lol ... it was sour dead rotten skunk in the road funk !!!! The best really ... Now everything is sweet smelling , fruity this , fruity that ... Don't get me wrong , I enjoy it all , if it is dank then all praise be given .. But someone anyone come back with that " Homegrown Old School Skunk " ... I know there are many old heads that know what the fuck I'm talking about !!!!! Someone find it and start a company if only to produce those genetics ... Some hillbilly needs to read this blog !!!!! Haha hehe break out the skunk weed :)

Exactly what I'm looking for too. I bought some "Shoreline" from Devils Harvest, only 1 seed has popped. If shoreline is as claimed I will let you know. I'm thinking about picking up some cannaventure RKS, I was hoping someone had tried it.

Hey Pine, Would you post when (if) Canna finally drops its "End of The World" product line? Was supposed to happen in December. I am getting a little weary spending the time searching different forum posting sites and ceed banks...Canna is no longer responding to inquiries about his gear...I do wish Canna well...This is not a rant...FWIW

Has anyone tried or done a grow with this strain ? I am trying to find out if it is true old school skunk.
It is I have had t before but have not grown it. I believe it was a limited edition like alot of his creations. Most of his creations are f1 hybrids. I have heard others mention super skunk from g-13 labs reminds them of skunk I would say pre 90's. My suggestion to you would be to try cannacopia from Hemp depot they have a bomb azz strain called BC Road Kill. I have had it before it is made of pre 90's skunk and Deep Chunk. Other suggestions if you are after skunk that smells like skunk cabbage would be Kiwi Skunk from Kiwi Seeds and Hortilabs suoer sour skunk. Stay away from RKS from RP it smells like vanilla.

unfortunately, every grow i have seen of those would seem to support that statement. shame, too, because the shoreline was one hell of a pure skunk.

yeah they have a couple of other threads on ic proving that this particular line isn't the real shoreline.

funny thing is that they got it from Karma, which at the time he thought it was the real deal until someone called him out for it, and decided to release s1's of it knowing it wasn't the real deal. talking the name game and it's effect on how it helps in selling seeds, this right here is prime example of such an instance.
