Can't decide led or hps 300 to soend(about)

OK guys I just ordered a vivoson 5x5x7. (60x60x80) grow tent. Originally my plan was to order a 600w hps/mh set up for it with cool tube and 8in exhaust. But I've been looking at 1200w led set ups. Does anyone use led? Also I don't wanna spend over 300 on new lights I'm on a budget. Is there a good led kit for around that price, the only ones I can find are over 600 bucks. Should I just stick with hps BC of my money limit? Thanks for the input guys!

Since you're on a budget, I would go with the HPS. But if you spend an extra 89 you can get a VIparspectra 1200w for 389. It kicks ass.or build a COB.

600w HPS is my move

it does that space well, (4x4)

but far better than any hi tech COB

trusty and highly reliable too

once the driver has learned to handle it tho

with your budget i would say go 1000W in a 5x5. no way i would try and cover a 5x5 with a 600. great for a 3x3 and the rest will get mediocre light. dont buy cheap LEDs. you will regret it. if you build your own cobs it would cost 600-1000 to light that tent up after all said and done. i spent 450 and counting on my 2.5x5 veg tent. still not done yet. you can get used 1ks on ebay piece by piece and save a bunch of money. if you can find someone like me locally that has 20Kw worth of hps sitting in storage you could come up on a great deal lol
