Can’t figure out DWC Cloning, HELP

Hey gugs I have a dwc bubble cloner and I just cannot get cloning down no matter what. I have cuttings I’ve trimmer and placed them into my dwc bubbler with dechlorinated phed tap water and saw no results after a week. Then I swapped the water out for distilled and added a few drops of superthrive and still nothing.

Not sure if they’re dead or not. They don’t look dead so far. Photos attached

I have an air stone and air pumped added to my bubbler for extra oxygen also. I thought it may have been kind of cold where I am and figured maybe that’s slowing progress so I added a heat mat a few days ago and still nothing. its been about 12-14 days.

The clones look healthy, so they aren't dying.

Put a big cardboard box over the cloner with the heat mat to get temperatures up. Drop a CFL light from the top for light, and with the light, you may not even need the heat mat any longer. I keep my aerocloner tent maintained at 77F, and see roots between day 7-10.

Even a few degrees cooler than that will dramatically slow root development (or so I've found).

Keep it simple. Heat, humidity and light dictate this game. Old school dome and dirt never fail.

I agree, but OP was asking about aerocloner so I thought I'd let them know what may help to get roots a little quicker. I use a 2x3x3' tent with a 240W LED off to the side for light and warmth.

Exactly. Cover it and maintain 5.9 ph. between 72 and 78F. But don't over think it.

For new people to aerocloning, I know it can get frustrating and many tend to panic when they don't see roots after the timeframe they've been advised that they should. With dirt, you can't see the roots, so people don't tend to get worried.

Main thing with an aerocloner is that if the leaves are mainly healthy, the roots will eventually develop. Patience is absolutely key.

That’s what I figured. I’ll let them keep going. I figured since they looked healthy that it wasn’t an big isssue

Ive recently had problems with my bubble cloner. I’d notice that out of ten spots some were always faster then others. One day cleaning it I ran it without any pucks in it. I noticed only 3 out of the ten spots had water around the lid where the small droplet of water would jump higher then the lid. This made me look at my air stones and how the bubbles popped. The holes directly over an air stone wouldn’t splash bubbles. The holes away from the stones would be much wetter. I use to run the cheap triangle type stones green or blue they didn’t seam to push the air as hard as my cylinder type ones. Maybe it’s nothing but I believe that has something to do with it. Note I run a large air pump and normally have 10-14 large cylinder type stones going. Depending on what I have running sometimes I only have 6 or seven where 4 are running in my cloner. I get a large mushroom boil from my stones.
I Believe either my water isn’t deep enough or I have too much air. Something to think about anyway.

It sure looks like there are roots forming on the clone near the middle of the picture and maybe the back corner.

The clones still look healthy so I think you’re fine. What others have said about the importance of temps is right on.

Still no roots but There is some slight browning in the bottoms of some of the clones but they still look healthy. Is that normal? No sludge or anything tho but it’s been 2 weeks already. If it goes on three weeks should I just call it a fail?

If you have browning you are most likely entering rot. Touch the stem. If it is soft and slimy it is rotting. Firm and slippery is healthy. I am as organic as I can be withmy style. And I would suggest a hormone for this non organic, synthesized over complication of a simple process.

i mean I really didn’t over complicate it. It’s just phed water and a bubbler.

IKR. It was this capitalist I'm smarter than you mentality. All I'm saying is it's not the natural process. It is harder than it needs to be.
Turned out they slimed up today, probably from adding the heating pad a few days ago. So that’s over.
Now the question is should I run peroxide or bleach to clean it

I've got one of those things too and I could never get clones out of it. I figuted it was a gimmick. The Clone King is as easy as it gets. Clones love to be sprayed.
