cant figure out what hood to use

I have a 1k watt spare. Im juat trying to use it to veg mothers, i use two t5 fixtures right now, together they draw about 8.5 amps. Im trying to cut down to 3.5 amps with a 400w. I dont need the mothers to grow all that crazy. I run adjust a wings in my main room but i cant seem to find a used ahitty one for the mother room

Two t5 setups are like 900 watts. One 1k in a parabolic MH setup would fill the room most likely better than the floros. Youd need to do some more bamboo training on the mums to spread them out more....6 amps.

those are not a good thing .......turn it to 100% and never touch that again
see when u turn it off 100% the bulb is not working correctly ........it needs a set power to get the gas excited to put out the right lightwaves and to full use the bulb when it is not getting that power it does damage to the bulb and it is not the correct lightwaves
a fresh out of the box bulb is about 20,000 hours of run time most shops/ cash grows only use the bulb for about 8-12000 hours then they change the bulbs out for a fresh one to get back the lumens and lightwave drift

im not too woried about bulb lifespan. I can get bulbs for like 5$ used with only 1 grow on them. Just trying to do the bare minimum to sustain the mothers while using the least power possible. I have like 5 mothers i need to have vegging for sog cuts.
Would it serve its purpose?
Basically two t5s is seeming to be about the same as running one 1kw bulb. Which ia gonna be too much money in electricity coupled with my main grow.

ok Stop buying the bulbs for 5 bucks .......1 the light they emit are totally off as a bulb gets near the end of the life the amount of light it gives is low (basically crap compaired to fresh bulb)
it is night and day once u see a fresh bulb fire up right
as for mother plants T5s are the better choice
a plant needs 1500(minimal) lumens to live a good mother is going to need about 50k or 60k (u want it to branch out)
4 foot bulbs are 5000 lumens
2 foot bulbs are 2000 lumens

I have a 8 lamp t5 and the problem is one of the bigger mothers basically occupies the whole light. I need to keep 4 gdp mothers and 1 platinum girlscout cookies alive for sog cuttings. The gsc is a clone but the gdp are seedlings so they are gonna get huge. There is very little light penetration below the canopy and if i spread the branches out its only making the space issue worse.

for depth u need LED ........it out does HID....... lower power cost little less heat
bad news the area size u are talking about is 2 600w ....that is going to run yah a 1000 or so unless u get generic ones

that is going to get u 6x6 useable area 5x5 will be great
as for the reflector .........is your area well cooled and air vented ......umbrella (but u need height 7/8 foot)

I only really need to cover maybe 6x6. Tent is 8x6x8 (LxWxH)
Im looking to fit about 6 mothers for perpetual sog. They will be getting cut frequently to prep for next grows so i may be able to manage their size decently.
Its pretty decently cooled outside air is about 60 degrees and tent has been staying at 80 degrees with that 1kw bulb running for the last few hrs. I have an inline fan to put in there if needed.
I dont cheap on most of my stuff lol juat kinda being thrifty for this mother tent.
My main room i run dual 1kw hortilux blue's mh and hortilux hps bulbs
I have that apollo grow kit with gull wing 1k mh and 1k hps bulbs and 1k ballast. I was trying to make as much of that woek as possible to save money till my current grow is done. Its on week 5 so im kind of broke till its done lol.

think about throwing in some auto plants to the cycle ........78 days and they are done (if feeding skills on point u can pull 4 oz easy 10 oz on a dialed in 26 oz on a monster)
as for cash ......investors the ppl that u off load the product too
for 200 dollars now for gear investment i will offer u a deal of a set price per oz of my stuff (250/300 per oz 200 cut off qp 400 off hp 600 off 3/4 and a P just a strait 3000 )

i got the my dx system to test my stuff i am getting some good reading for medical ......as for stoner 20% and higher thc still working on it
