Did some veiw this offensive, im from Europe and laughed pretty hard after reading this.
I have little comprehension of situations between the two borders or people struggles but relating to the broader world and country borders this was damn funny.

No this is normal to have a harsh approach to the border situation. American weed growers do NOT like the cartels or guerilla growers.

Many hispanic immigrants enter the US illiegaly in order to give berth to children. If you are born on American soil you are an American citizen. This is a hot debate now days because 90% of Americans will agree that you do not deserve this unless your parents are American citizens. I don't know what exactly the joke was intended at but it was on the lines of I shouldn't name the plant. I should ship it back to mexico on a bus otherwise ...... Deport it. lol
Coming from Arizona I see what the big deal is. In Arizona you have cartels moving massive amounts of drugs. The cartels are lucky they don't kill Americans. Part of this is because guns are not illiegal here and it may be harder to do business the way they do down south or the border.
Between immigration and cartel violence, Mexico is not a desirable place to go anymore. The Mexicans that are here in the US don't want much to do with it either. The cartels are fucking things up for everyone. Human smuggling is another huge deal. You have these cartels kidnapping people who pay to get smuggled and then the cartels demand more money from their families etc. Its scary trying to get into the US let alone the fact that your Coyote(smuggler) may leave you locked in a trailer in the desert in 100 degree whether, or lock you in a safe house and not tell you when the next move is........
Mexico..... my friends is a harsh place. 98% of homicides go unsolved. Guns are illiegal. If you get caught with one.........you might as well kiss your family goodbye because whether you killed or not, you are a killer in the eyes of the law.
I don't know if what im saying is really making sense. But all of this in one big pile equals one big problem.
Americans tend to make humor out of anything. Even something as fucked up as this.

As long as your on the American side things are all gravy. The US ain't gonna get raided by cartels. Across the border tho, if you get involved in drugs or smuggling then its all bad. Yes mexico has good times when it comes to parties, but it aint even worth it to cross the border for the night to go party. Too much drama.
This is why a year ago I stopped buying mexican bud. It's fertilized with human blood.

It used to be even 10 years ago. As long as you had some cash to pay off the cops ($60-100) it was all a good time. In recent years the cartels have been in a power struggle. Kidnappings, beheadings random daytime shootings it's all real deal down the now.

I dont think id be into that either, crimes ok in small doses and never hurt no one but thats way too much, thank god i dont live there. Thanks for explaining dude, is hard to understand the other half of the world sometimes.
Power to the people, cartels only exist because we let them, if we all stood up we'd kick all their asses and make the world a better place to live in!
Personally id like to believe if the cartels or mafia or triads or whoever screwed with Rollitup or got arsey with home growers we'd show them who the real 'Cartel' was! Peace

No . Nobody's is going to pull a charlie sheen here lol Nobody is WINNING! The cartels are not going to lose. WE RESPECT THAT THEY DO NOT KILL INNOCENT AMERICANS! for real. lol We should be greatful that they respect the border enough to keep the violence on their side.
As for what goes on down there. thats there business. not mine. it is ugly if you get involved with them and things go bad. At least thats what it seems.
