cauliflower buds

Any help on this is appreciated. Plants are in an ebb and flow type system. About 3 weeks into flowering the buds start showing this disease. It is most apparent on the inner nodes and has a decreasing effect towards the tip of the stem. Buds look like cauliflower - not in color - but form. Hard, stunted, hairless, worthless. I have never seen it before, am thinking its Pythium or something related, but don't know if I'm on the right track. H2O2 has been used, in conjunction with UV sterilization of fluids. Working on a chiller unit to keep res. temps down. and adding benificials. Nutrients are changed weekly/or biweekly, tons of ventilation, PH monitored daily....
This came out of nowhere, have had summertime probs int the past, but never to this extent. Has any one ever seen this??? and what did you do?

For clarification: buds still have the normal conical/oblong shape, but hairless, stunted and dense - alot like they were seeded, but hey aren't. Rest of the plant seems to grow normaly, maybe a little slow, roots don't seem to develop like they used to but no browning or slimyness. inner regions clos to stem most effected, and lessening as you go to tip of branch.
Help!

wow. id probly try smoking it lol i guess you can rule out genetics right. if u normally use the stuff u using now and never had a prob b4. like are all the plants doing it . if so its either because of your setup ect or its a mutant thing from the seeds ,unless you was probly using cuttings ruling out the mother as a mutant then its gotta be your stuff init. i dunno like im just trying to rule out a genetics/mutant crop.

cum on guys sum1 must know summet, hey dude any more info. wats happnin now, u found out or chopped em down.got any pics interesting thread i was expecting mods to reply but i guess they are as unsure as any1 else. i rekon pics wud be benificial for a answer m8. but the whole crop mutant lkike that. its gotta be summet to do wiv ya stuff rather than it being bad genetics right. i mean what causes a mutation to that degree without any other effects. if it was feed related it would surly of done it to another grow . gawd knoes m8.

Only had that when plants been seeded from going hermi from stress and having grown a few pollen sacks on the lower branches that I didnt see in time.

What I have seen of root rot, wilt symptoms, you would be losing leaves and the lower branches wilt first, buds dry out and aren't dense at all and turn brown. Inside nodes being worse would seem to rule out lights being too close. Maybe water in high trichodermas to eat the fungus, but fighting something that is systemic can be a losing battle. Eagle 20 or some other toxic chemical would kill anything that's in your roots and moving through the plant. I personally don't like that shit though.
