yes right after watering.
They are real tight :) I FIMmed them

as for the side of the cfl.. I thought bout that after I made the light holder... damn.. I could just sit all the power strips on their sides.. that would be an easy upgrade...
I painted the light holder white but the reflectance seems shit.. If I move bulbs to horizontal I will also cover light board with foil or something more reflective..

Right now Im doing 24/7 light.. thinking about 18/6 or 20/4 switch.. bc I want them to be happy and not overworked..

what you think about the light switch??
I did my plant I have going now with the first 2 weeks at 24/0, then changed to 18/6.
Looks like you did the same thing I did in mine, LOL
Windshield sunscreen on one side.
You can check out my thread in this section if you want, but unfortunately I didn't take any pics of my lights when I was vegging.

While your 25 watt bulbs or whatever low wattage bulbs you are using
they can grow they can be better
but IMO dump your 25 watt bulbs and get some 105 Watt or Higher
just keep the plants about 4 inchs from the bulbs
i wouldnt do that either as the plant grows you have the ability to move the bulbs around the plant not just one massive bulb at the top and turn the cfl's on there sides most the light comes out the sides!

not bad bro love the amount of cfl's you give :)

the one plant with 5 cfls all wrapped around it (with cfls on their sides, facing plant) is growing much nicer than the other three babies.. I need to rig them up so the sides face the plants, I was experimenting and thought the sheer amount of downward facing cfls would compensate for equal light compared to the 5 sideways ones.. but sidewayz is def the way to grow, and.. go.. mmmmh

you didnt understand I said to make sure the plants dont get closer than 4 inches the BIG CFLs get about 200 F Degrees but 4 inches away they are cool enough for plants
my lights and platform are both adjustable

putting a massive CFL like this sideways is just stupid you would be wasting the top half of the light
you place them just as i did and use mirrors to reflect the light

how much did you pay for your bulbs?
you should get 105Watt bulbs for under $20
My local homedepo has a good sale on 25w 100w equivs for under $5 for 2 bulbs. and they are 5000k

I would get the big ones you speak of but these are fine for now and as already stated I can have more mobility of the smaller ones and rearrange as the plants grow.
Plus heat is a slight issue for me so Ima stick with these and tilt them in a few days.

I used 8 23watt bulbs for my flowering (only above) and net an ounce and a half. If I had side lighting and a little longer veg, i could of gotten more. (i vegged for 3 weeks)

Point is, properly placed 23watt bulbs can get you a good amount of weed.
