I've got a 400W for Flower but wanted to start a clone/mother room. Everything is set up, just need to figue out the right configuration of CFL's.When you flower, you are gonna want 100-150W per plant...
Blue spectrum is better for plants in veg and red for flowering, I use a 105 watt 6,900 lumen cfl cuz it cuts back on all those lights, 3 or 4 are all you'll need but only during veg because i havent seen any of them in the red spectrum. What's better for veg?
6 42W red specturm
6 27W blue spectrum or
3 of each?
I know that blue is better for veg but I thought with the higher watt red, it may provide better gorwth.Blue spectrum is better for plants in veg and red for flowering, I use a 105 watt 6,900 lumen cfl cuz it cuts back on all those lights, 3 or 4 are all you'll need but only during veg because i havent seen any of them in the red spectrum.
This a seperate room we're talking about. Not really... the HPS will give you great results right now... especially if you supplement with a few blues...
For mothers, high wattage cfls ( 105 watt or 200 watt if possible ) high lumen output that will keep your mothers growing big. Those bulbs dont need a special ballast so you can throw them in any ordinary one. This a seperate room we're talking about.
If we forget about the HPS, what CFL configuration I referred to earlier is best for a mother room?
Yea, you mite need a reflecter made out of a coffee can if used for long distance but most people useing cfls only use them close range, like a few inches.the high wattage ones are ok... only problem with them is coverage... Those lumens are gone after a few inches...
