I ran two smaller plants also in pots last year with MG and they were good....

Its just most noobs use MG on there first grow because its local and cheap....then they over use it, burn the fuck out of there plants, and then blame the MG. Then the next grow they go out and buy different nutes, and by then they learned to back of the nutes.

But still blame MG for there Mistakes..

There soil with the time release crap is a whole other story...I dont use it.

I stick with kellogs Patio Plus.
ya tha time release is a whole other story and wll fuck ur crop up, ive never used the grow and bloom i dont like it cause of the chelating agents in it, most noobs as u call em dont even know to look and see what they r feeding their plants, i mean they r only soo many nutrient sources out there but its what the company uses to chelate the nurtients that makes the difference between a good fertilizer and a bad one, in my opinion anyway

If I see problems I will get wiring, but the plant is literally surrounded everywhere by thorns. The main reason I can't really get it as well is because I am planting in a populated area, around a lot of old people. I doubt they would recognize MJ behind trees, bushes and plants. On the other hand, If I put a fence there and someone saw it, it would definitely be suspicious.

Indeed.
if u cant build a fence around consider using a couple raised planters with wie mesh on ground to protect the roots, its not so much the plant the animals will go but the roots because they will dig to try to find where the fish smell is coming from, trust me thorn bushes will not stop cats and if ur growing in a populated area u need to worry most about the common house cat cause if they smell tha fish and can dig at ur roots ur not gonna have a fun season, jus put the wire mesh on the ground, it wont look like a fence since its laying on ground and it should supply u with enough protection against those pesky critters, there is also a product from a company called growers secret, its growers secret 5-2-1 fish fert it come with molasses and is scented with lavender to discourge animals from diggin at roots, u might wanna try that instead of a regular smell fish fert

defintely dont go with the micrale grow cause it will be a micrale if that nutrient grows anything good, idk what u consider cheap nutrients, try the happy frog all purpose, mix it in with ur soil and try the happy frog bulb food for flower use as a top dressing, both are relativly cheap, same with dr.earth they have alota solid nutrients for good price, keep in mind when growing organic u need to use water that has no chlorine in it, so if u have a good water source all u need is sum all purpose for veg and bulb food for flower that will be sufficent for good growth and flower, if u have the extra cash try using malibu's compost bu's brews compost tea bags, u have to brew the tea ur self but a air pump and air stone is under ten bucks at wally world, the bu's brew i get for 12 bucks at my local shop, also check the soil u buy make sure its good organic soil like fox farm (a good cheaper soil is kellogs garden & bloome), if its pre mixed with mycorrhizae the better but if not the all purpose will add sum mycos to the soil mix, buying a mycorrhizae innoculant is relavitly cheap too depending on what company u go with, ask ur local garden store to show u all the myco products, other than that all ul need to get is sum un-sulphured molasses to add to ur teas and ur golden, jus remeber that organics relies on good water sources having chlorine in ur water will kill all the mycos and make it very hard for ur plant to eat, if ur lookin into buying liquid nutrients u wont find very many cheap, and liquid nutrients are more suited for the indo enivorment where as outdoors if u let nature do her thing and feed ur soil the soil will feed the plant and give u sum excellent results
Sorry for thread jacking, but can you just let your tap water sit out for a day or two, or would bottled water be better? I dont mind buying gallons of water if I have to. Btw, I'm using eb stone organic soil, eb stone organic planting mix, castings, and perlite. And going with epsoma plant tone for veggie and tomato tone fo flowering.(it was recommended to me). Dont want to mess things up with bad water. Thanks.

or if u dont want to go organic and wanna use synthetics than angryblackman is right maxsea is all u need, it is somewhat expensive tho and it is a 2 part formula so u will need the grow and bloom but anything is better than micrale grow and i have seen sum folks pull off sum nice blue dreams using maxsea so if u prefer synthetic nutes then maxsea is what u want for outdoor
Im going with Jacks classic 20-20-20 on my synthetic plants myself. Worked well last year. Gonna try shultz cactus plus 2-7-7 this year when they flower though. Btw, I grew a monster that pulled 12 ozs of some killer using miracle grow potting mix. Its actually ok outdoors. Just plant and leave it alone. Give it a tad bit of bloom nutes about week 4 of flowering and you'll be suprised. Dont knock it till you try it. lol. If you like to feed your plants all the time, and cant leave them alone to save your life, DONT USE MG. The soil that is. Nutes are ok too(outdoors). Just dont feed often, and feed at 1/4 strength when you do. Just my 2 cents.

i can tell you from experience, the kind of problems you will encounter with fish products near the woods will end your season early, trust me.
Any experience with the epsoma tones? It has some bone meal mixed in it. Dont want any problems. Guess I'll fill my holes early and let the critters do their thing b4 I put my girl in there.(was also recommended)

i have had to use the micrale grow organic soil before that is the only product by them i would reconmend, i have grown with a buddy who used micralce grow, it was a side by side trial we did of micrale grow vs organics, there was a huge difference in outcome, he didnt even get close to even 2lbs per plant with micrale grow my plants were averaging between 1 1/2 lbs to 2lbs per plant, and there was a big difference in the taste and potency, so im not knockin something i dont know i am very familar with micrale grow, im not sayin that MG wont grow cannabis plants, im just saying theyre are better nutrients out there to grow with

depends on where u live, check out ur citys water report and see if it has chlorine or chlorimines, if its jus chlorine ya u can let it sit for 24hrs to remove chlorine then bubble it for 20min (adds oxygen) but if u have chlorimine then u will need a r/o filter, if u cant afford a r/o filter jus go to winco or walmart and get water from their filtered water machine, those machines are basically big r/o filters, im currerntly buying my water from winco cause im waiting for my replacement filters for my r/o filter to come in mail, if ur plannin on using epsoma salt check out subcools super soil mix, u make that soil mix and u wont need to buy any bottled nutrients, jus filter water and a few compost teas and u will grow sum 2 to 5lbs trees!!! if u use his soil mix u cant add synthetics like fox farm tiger bloom tho cause they will kill ur microlife and set u back instead of helpin the plant the best bottled nutrient for this style of growing is fox farm big bloom, also consider getting a TDS meter if ur plannin on lettin ur water sit, city water has alota dissolved minerals in it, so if ur TDS read over 90ppm u really got watch how much nutrients like calicum and magnesium u add cause it could end up harming ur plants, i would reconmend buyin filtered water every two weeks and givin the plants a flush to get rid of the salts from the city water

Did you have critter problems using it? I looked at it myself.
I was in my yard and I did have problems with my dogs (which I dealt with easily by not letting them near my grow area but cats were always in there milling around. Then never dug anything up that I could see but I could see them flailing around in there like a pig in mud. They also left their shit everywhere.

can I please ask about the fish thing I have heard this numerous times now and really interested I use roots organic line last year outdoor it got to be hell does this fish buried really work I got aond on my prop. do I just go catch some fish throw em in with my 707 soil and water all year there good cuz that would be awesome im looking for an easy organic way like that that wil keep me having to go to the shop everyother day for more.nutes

No. If you'd like to make ur own fish emulsion, type it in on google. Ehow.com has a guide how to do it. Much easier to just buy it..

if u have time to let ur soil cook bury ur fish deep down in the soil and let the soil cook for a month or more, its best to dig a hole in ground and fill hole with soil mix, put fish close to bottom of hole, u dont wanna put alota fish in one hole ususally one fish is fine, i prefer freshwater fish and have done this method with great success

If im using 707 formula thats alright it has nutes for a mo. I was gonna try it on one hole see how it goes any fish I got bass bout 6 in is that good I got a spot ive been throwing compost to I could.just use that spot to and do I use anything at allmy holes r big too doessorry im on my phone so hard to understand

Which nuts yielded the best results, the MG Organics?
i think u kinda misunderstood me, i have had to use MG organic potting soil before but the side by side trial im refering to wasnt with the MG organic soil, it was MG regular soil and nutes that my buddy was using vs my hot organic soil mix,

my soil mix for that year was:
1 part fox farm ocean forest
2 parts garden & bloome soil amending compost
1 part e.b. stone super worm castings
1 part big chunk perlite

i added the rainbow bloom with mycorrhizae to my soil mix
the nutrients i used that year are:
fox farm big bloom
humboldt nutrients grow natural
humboldt nutrients humboldt honesy es
humboldt nutrients humboldt roots
vermi compost vermi tea

we were both using filtered water,

he used the MG pottin soil with the MG grow soil spikes and MG bloom, he was also adding superthrive every week or so

my plants yielded best (average 2lb per plant) and the bud was excellent, he didnt have a bad yield but his smoke was pretty harsh, i think he added to many grow spikes cause he flushed a week longer than i did so he shouldve been able to flush the salts out, he wasnt using a flushing agent tho im sure that would help, but ya that was the last time ive seen anybody use MG, i had it proven to me in that side by side trial that organics is the way to go and i was on the right track, so my conclusion from that test trial is tha u can grow with MG but u wont get as good as results as u will want

ya bass is fine, ive always used bass or trout, and ya if u gota compost pile try moving the compost to a different spot and dig and plant where the compost pile was (i got that tip from the rev) the roots 707 is a great potting mix, i would add sum all purpose to ur soil mix, either happy frog or dr.earth all purpose, they are both great, also id add sum dolomite lime to balance ph of soil (if u need to), if its in ur budget add sum worm castings (or compost) another big thing to add ina organic mix is greensand, usually around a tablespoon per gallon of soil, greensand is a great source of potassium and other trace elements, ul wanna get sum type of bloom fertilizer, i like using fox farm big bloom if i dont have time to make a tea and i like happy frogs bulb food 3-8-8 u add it as a top dressing during flower, if u wanna get a liquid bloom fert besides big bloom id go with either roots organic budda bloom or age old organics bloom also make sure u are using filtered water, depending on how big ur holes are is how much all purpose to add to ur mix, start light and if they seem to need more add sum as a top dressing

Thank you couldnt ask for better answer basically fish makes for less needed but still need to add some much appreciated
