All earned by hard work and fiscal discipline. I started my first business with all of 800 bucks in the bank ...
I won't delve into the details on your business, but that's great man. Did you start growing as a youngin', or did that come after relative success?

yea thats what i was thinkin but hey its all good right! haha the fatter the better!
haha yeah somebody earlier in this thread told me that my lady looks like a hybrid, and I agree fully now. :blsmoke:

I have about a 1½tbsp of molasses left, I need to go buy some more today. I'm thinking about cutting down on the water intake these last 10 or so days. I keep seeing new white hair growth, this makes me feel like I should wait a bit longer.. but who knows what will become of that in 10 days? I have a couple tests, and not to mention a botany lab exam the day after my expected harvest. It's a little hard to concentrate on my studies when Im constantly thinking about my babies being ripped up :-(

No, I worked as an electrician during my college years for $$$. I worked in the summers, and by my third summer, even though I was only temp. I went out and passed my Journeymans test just for the FUN of it. The "regular" electricians could NOT believe I was WASTING my time taking a test I wouldn't use in real life. They also did not think I could possibly pass it, but I did. I just thought I might as well devour this trade like I was devouring my education. I never practiced the trade again....

It's all in the approach, no matter the topic, or endeavor. Attitude will always get you most of the way.

Hello Pnuggle-
Great Grow buddy, those buds shots look great! Are you a bit early into the flush?
I will be harvesting about a third of my crop this Sunday Morning ( flushing 2 weeks) and i have Yellow Leaves almost all the way up the plant. I don't see that in your last photos you posted. when i started my flush i had way more yellow leaves then what i see in your photos. I guess it's better to start your flush earlier then later.

Keep up the good work

Damn, I just looked up an overview on the Journeyman's Test. So that is how you would distinguish your self as a state licensed electrician? What are you before that, just an off-hand, self employed electrician?

yes, it is a little early, I guess. I really need to get it out of my backyard quick though, I may end up having a 3 week flush if I can stand being paranoid about rippers that long. I have crackheads in my neighborhood, who are like shadows at night. Depends on how she looks at the 2 week mark, I may flush another week, or give another FINAL dose of nutes and wait 2 more additional weeks(which may be the best option, depending on how the buds look)

No, I was an apprentice electrician. Heck, I was 20 and full of beans. The "regular" electricians kept telling me how hard it was to pass the test. They agonized over it.
To me, it was just another test. I studied and practiced, off and on over two summers, then the third summer I went and passed it on the first try.

I've never used it. It's long ago expired...you have to keep it up. It was just a test to me. Back then I ate tests for breakfast.... bring'em on!!! It's all in the attitude...

So, I'm about to take a sample branch. on it, I'd say less than 10% of the trichs are amber tinted, and the hairs are about a 55/45 white/red. I'm taking pictures through it so, expect some new pics less than an hour or so!!

Also, when I chop this baby, what should I do with my leaves? I plan on drying them I guess.. and then after that, im up for whatever. But how would I want to keep these leaves while I'm waiting for the much, much larger part of the plant to be harvested? Should I dry them out and then bag them? jar them?

As I said earlier, I chopped my little baby branch growing at the base of my plant. She was far from a "little scraggler" or whatever you would call them. Weighed out to 20.3 grams wet, with stem still attached

Here are some pictures from the journey this morning! Enjoy :blsmoke:

How does she look fellas?

Still attached to the trunk

After the CHOP

On the SCALE before the TRIM!

Haha hands tired already..

Hanging

With a small fan next to the bud blowing towards the cracked door

and last but not least, the leaves in a shoebox

Well, how's that look you guys?

kinda early, but if you're afraid of the rippers what can you do . . . I'd give them another 3 weeks personally.

definitely more on the sativa side, but definitely hybrid.

Yeah, I'm leaving the rest of the plant there for 1-2 more weeks. Maybe 3 if I can stand the fear of rippers longer. Haha, Maybe I will wait for this bud I clipped today to dry and smoke it to find out how dank she is :blsmoke:

That plant looks like some dank. Do you think it is a good idea to dry right above the toilet like that? Wont the water in there slow the process and keep humidity high? I'd also be afraid of it somehow falling right into that water. Good job on the plant, and hold off as long as you can on the rest of the harvest. Good luck

Haha good eye on the toilet. There is no water in the opening at the top of it, don't worry. I do need to put a covered over it I guess, the original covered got a big piece of it chipped off so it didnt really fit right. ill be hanging the rest of the plant on the opposite side of the door. I hope I have enough room right there, I may need to run string from wall to wall as well :peace:

My leaves are really starting to yellow now! I can see the difference. I gave her 2 gallons today instead of the normal 1 gallon. I've been using 1 gallon of fresh water a day for a week, no nutes. Now that I gave her this 2 gallons, ill go back to 1 gallon, and then throughout this last week, reduce the waterings to ½ a gallon, and let her soil really dry up the last 2-3 days. Hows that sound?

I am guessing the leaves are yellowing from all of the watering. If you're close to harvest, not a big deal.

The plants are looking great. They definitely seem like a hybrid. Generally the more sativa, the less amber ratio for the trichs (using the rule of thumb to harvest sativa early and indica late to enhance the head and body effects respectively).

With all due respect to CJ, I have used flavor enhancers like Sweet and they do work. When you get close to harvest, let her get a little thirsty, i.e. a couple days without water so it starts to look a little wilty. Water one last time with Sweet or molasses mixed strongly in just water. Harvest the next day. There should be nothing in the plant at this point but sweetened water - it's in the stalk, stems, leaves, and buds - and the ferts should be gone.
