Lookin good! Very green in there. I just made my scrog net tonight. Ended up using Masons Thread (nylon rope in the masonry section at depot or lowes) at Dayzt's advice. Worked out well but I had to make a homade needle out of a toothpick and took me a couple hours. Came out super good looking though so overall very happy with it. I used 2" squares on this one, but I might try 3x3 on the second one I have to make just to experiment with what works best. Anyhow off to clean some rezs! lol later

Thanks bro! I took a look at Dayzts and it is sweet looking, i was wondering what he used. Whats the toothpick for? I noticed on his, it looked like he used those little fish eye hooks to tie the nylon off too. Did you do something similar? Throw up some pics if you want :) I'm gonna be making mine in about 2 months lol..

I skipped the fish eye hooks, figured I could save some cash there lol. Might have made it a bit more work to pull the string through though. I used the toothpick like a needle and taped the tread to it to pull it through the holes I drilled in the piping. After I got the thread though I tied the end, and then worked tension back up to where I started threading, finally tying that off to the pipe under tension. Then u have to flip the screen 90 degrees and string it that way, weaving through your previous set of strings. Kinda hard to explain but I think u can picture it in ur mind...I hope lol here's some pics. The threaded pieces screw into the corner and attach the legs...I just pictured 1, there's 4 obviously lol

Thanks, yea it is filling up very quick but when I make my veg chamber it will open up some room for a little while anyway lol.. I knew this first run would get crowded and complicated but the point is to find either 1 strain or multiple and keep them going. My biggest problem is the quzar in the 5 gallon because I have no Idea what I'm going to do with her lol.. I'm not sure if shes an autoflower or a regular photoperiod plant so worst case I have to put all the auto's on 12/12 here in like 2-3 weeks at most... That way I can get them all out of there and start testing the strains that might stay around. If this is the case I'll snag a couple clones off quzar too just incase she turns in to what I hope to be a heavy yielder!

Perfect brotha! That thing is looking right, I might be building mine sooner than I thought and filling it out with 1, 5 gallon plant. So when does it go up and when do I get to see some branches worked in and out of those 2x2 squares? :)

Soon as I get off my ass and finish harvesting these 4 plants... lol and clean everything up. Hopefully it's all done in the next 48 hours. I got veggies begging to be flowered!

So I had an epiphany today when I was dealing with lowering my 91 temps with all my cfl's and the 250 on. So as I was shutting my cfl's off to lower the heat I thought, "I wish I could get this damn ballast off this reflector and keep it outside my grow room..." Then I looked a little closer and figured why not just take the hood off the ballast and extend the mongul socket and figure out a way to attach it to the hood for now! Sure enough it helped quite a bit and then I started thinking humm I wonder if they make hps conversion bulbs for this old school ballast? Sure enough I grabbed a plantmax 220w, "30watts to ignite" for 35 bucks! So now I'm officially in the hps club :) I was thinking I'll just buy an air cooled hood, "looking at sun system 2" or the Euro reflector from htg. Just hook the 250 socket up to that for now and run it air cooled with the magnetic ballast outside the grow area. Then when I get the money pick up a 400 horti and digital lumatek and I'm golden!!

I also picked up a sick ass exhaust fan after doing a shit ton of research on the quietest fans avalible I found one that I couldn't pass up! I went way overkill because like I said earlier I'm dealing with high heat and the more air I can move the better! Plus I plan on running a big carbon filter and I figure I will be upgrading as I go so I might as well get a fan thats going to move some air! Here's what I got Soler Palau TD-200

So now all I need is an air cooled hood and my big daddy carbon filter and I'm on my way to some thick dense budz :)

What started my research off was scottyballs waterfarm thread because its obviously becoming well known around here so I figured I would give my shout out to him! I'll be trying that method out soon once I find out what 1 strain to keep around!!

It will be out of these 4,

Vanilla Kush - Barneys Farm
OG kush 18 - Reserva Privada

SLH - Greenhouse

I'll be going for best overall, smoke, yeild, bag appeal you know the deal lol.

and dude, if it were me, I'd go with the SLH. though I am excited to hear what you will choose!!! probably the og... i know you hold a soft spot for the privada genetics!!!

Thanks brotha! Yea I wanted to do a 600 but after doing a bunch of research it would take a shit ton to cool in my little closet. I might be able to pull it off with constant ac on with the lights but other than that it would be tough even during the winter! Shit the 400 would be tough to cool but thats a challenge Im willing to take :)

For now I'll run the 220 watt hps and another couple hundred watts of mixed spectrum cfls! I'm shooting for 8-12 oz's, 12 would be 2oz's every square foot in a 6 square foot closet. Which is my overall goal!!

After I find out what strain to keep around I'll run with a, "waterfarm single plant grow" or if I decide to keep 2 strains around I might stick with soil for another grow or 2 and just do 2, 5 gallon buckets! Either way it will be Topped and scrogged most likely!!

LoL @ reserva privada! Yea I was more than happy with the kandy, if the og yields anything close to that I'll have to admit that will probably the strain I'll keep! A couple close friends have smoked it and its been there favorite so far. The kandy was decent smoke wise but couldn't touch the wonderwoman imo lol... The white widow from G13 came pretty close though!! I havent had the pleasure to smoke the OG kush so it will be a treat when ready :) Shit I wish I had more room because I'm excited for all of them! The blackberry looks like a straight indica, the leaves on these girls are fat already! The SLH is just starting to root so we will se what she does but we already know that will be some dank! Its just the flowering time that I'm not to excited about..

OH yea I forgot to add Quzar to the list because she was supposed to auto but never did. I have a feeling she's going to be quite the yielder, I'm hoping to out do the Kandy but we will see! I'll take a couple clones from each when the time comes "about 3 weeks" I have 2 vanilla K pheno's and 2 backberry pheno's, So I'm ready to see what they do!

The plan has changed because of the quzar too, when the red dwarf is done flowering. about 3-4 weeks hopefully, I'm probably gonna put the two other auto's in the veg room to finish flowering and throw the Quzar into 12/12, the Vk's and the blackberrys. Then I'm gonna veg the OG and SLH while the rest are flowering! Its the only way I can think of to make room so anyway I'm done rambling, if you made it this far I'm impressed lol..

didn't you used to run a MH in flowering to?

and man you know i love the wonder woman to!!!! in fact i have a small wonder woman that I'm going to harvest tonight. i took her stakes out and she is just leaning against the steps waiting to have her head chopped off!!
man you are gonna have quite the variety to choose from. I can't believe you're gonna be able to pick just one!!!

Yea that wonderwoman is the shit! I'm jealous lol, I can't pick just one lol. I'll probably end up sticking with soil for a while and just try maximizing my yield somehow. It depends mostly on how everything turns out.

The RP OG is a good one for sure, but don't sleep on the SLH either. I run the SLH, and I yield around 5 per plant, great quality and it finishes in nine weeks, ten tops.
