It's been raining here almost every day this month. A couple of days not. But I've been doing dirt work and planting grass. They don't call it Speedy Green for nothing. It's coming up all over in about 4-5 days.
Where do you live?
Planting grass in October?
Good fucking luck.

Bloomberg reports that the world’s major economies are gridlocked in their efforts to agree concrete steps to tackle climate change.

Preparatory talks between G-20 officials this week failed to end in an agreement to reduce coal subsidies and curb methane emissions. There wasn’t even a consensus on striving toward net-zero emissions and limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees from pre-industrial levels, according to three people familiar with the matter.

China and India, two of the world’s biggest emitters and largest coal users, have failed to submit updated climate pledges.

One person described the negotiating round as a disaster.

What will power the manufacturing that has mostly been sent to China? If you buy a trinket then you should own the carbon footprint it took to make the bobble. And the cost in CO2 to bring it to you.

I remember.... in the 90s, Al Gore said Miles of Florida would be under water by 2001. And even funded a show called "captain planet' which i watched as a child to promote saving the planet via recycling... bettering ourselfs and how we waste.....Al Gore also said....and said the Ozone 'hole' would be our undoing... Know how much of Florida has been lost to the sea since then? a whopping several inches....Heard any striking news about that hole...in the last 20 years?.. and riddle me this, obviously the Climate is ever changing... always has been always will be.....But if this were all true and everything is melting..... Then why did Pres Obama by beach front property to the tune of 750,000$? Obviouisly he knows more about it... on the secret level than us, think he'd drop that ammount of cash if it were all to be under water soon? The house is only 100 ft from the shore....just a question

Wrong in detail does not mean wrong in concept. I say we are within ten to twenty years of a “hold on!” tipping moment.

Ozone depletion was happening, you seem to accept peer reviewed sources. And we got rid of a ozone depletion chemical. in air conditioning. The climate is not always changing. We have ice cores that prove you wrong. There is a mad dash to preserve them because they are melting away. You are so full of shit it is not funny.

Al was not a climate scientist. Actual climate scientists say the rate of change is greater than the models from 20 years ago were showing. Every year is the hottest year in (recorded) history. More and stronger hurricanes. More flash flood events. More deep freeze events.

They are literally raising the level of the streets 2 feet in Miami because they flood during high tide.

You mean they built them too low in the first place. Happens around here too in the flood plains. The river has been flooding for centuries but now we finally figured out it's not a good place to build a house. Nobody cared until they came out with insurance.
