In my town we are cutting edge and installing the first solar panels over irrigation to cut back on evaporation and save money on energy.

is that one of the canals in India? or an artist representation of what one would look like in California?
either way, seems like a good idea, cuts down on evaporation from your irrigation canals and uses otherwise dead space, freeing up more room for farming

Artists representation of irrigation canal in California . I think it’s a great idea as well. I love that I just moved here and will be a supportive part of this community.

i didn't see the "in my town"....where is that, if you don't mind saying?
theres a fire a couple of miles from my house that could possibly force us to evacuate, so i'm a little distracted at the moment.
don't think it'll turn into anything, but keeping an eye on the news, the weather, and the sky...

Wow. That’s terrible! I hope you are going to be ok. I wish you the best! It’s ok, no worries. Take care! I live in Stanislaus county.

No, lol, not Molesto. Close but not there. I got my used refrigerator in Molesto. I need to check out Molesto more in time.... it looks like a down to earth funky town with interesting stores.
I missed that when I lived there. It was boom cars, gunshots and two (2) vehicles stolen off our driveway in one year. And we drove uninteresting crap. But cool shops? No

Sorry to hear it, that is terrible. Wow. I have only been down Kansas Street. I like the used appliance shop I went to. I really like the one radio station called the Bear.

Did you notice that every single appointee made by Trump during his time in office was a fucking idiot.
Every single one.
Most had no experience at all related to their job.
WTF?
yeah...and oddly republicans had no fucking problem with any of them....but when Biden tries to appoint qualified, thoughtful, intelligent people to a position, they block everyone they can block, any way they can block them...

All these methane releases will speed up climate change, some predictions for 2100 have been lowered to 2050 and that trend will continue.

By then the thin gray haze of Starlink sats will have dropped insolation just enough. Elon heals the planet by polluting cislunar space.

Last night we got 6 inches of rain. The forecast had been for 2-3. A couple three miles south of the sandhill got upwards of 8 inches. Lots of localized flooding going on. I'm hoping the riverhouse will have nothing worse than having the driveway flood. Which it was almost there when I left this morning.
