Clone Resistant Strains?????

Hey Guys,
I wonder if anyone has encountered any strains that were harder to clone then others?
I have been growing several strains at once, and I am having real problems cloneing some Master Kush.
I do understand that I am a complete nube and have a lot to learn.
That is why I am asking.
I have some Aurora Indica in the cups about 2 wks from the Metal Halide.
Does anyone know about this strain?
Is AI a more sutible strain to clone, I heard it was bred for SOG.
Is there anything that I can do to increase my chances with the MK?
Somebody out there has to have some answers......

Another Question,
Will a plant that is on a verified 18/6 light cycle, Automaticaly start flowering.
I actually have a 3 month old Master Kush plant in the veggie chamber that has shown me the white hairs.
I know this plant is getting 18 hours of light.
Then I looked and noticed 2 more with white hairs.
Could they be hermie's?
Why would they show sex with out bieng forced to flower?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

First, to know how to help you, I would need to know your cloning procedure.

This will help narrow down what the problem is.

Some strains are harder to clone than others, it depends on genetics, the overall health of the plant you're trying to clone from, the technique you're using etc.. but all strains should be able to be cloned successfully. Just because it's more difficult, doesn't mean it can't be done.

Cloning is an art within itself and requires practice to get good results. Ideally you should pick a technique and stick with it until you get good at it - there are lots of different ways of doing it and if you have difficulty with one method - try another. Perserverance is the key.

Sounds like you need to do some research and reading on the different cloning methods.

Generally - no. The plant should stay in vegetative growth for as long as you keep it on an 18/6 light cycle. There are exceptions to everything of course and there are auto-flowering strains like lowryder (which is a Ruderalis hybrid) which will start flowering under a veg cycle photoperiod when it reaches sexual maturity.

Then I looked and noticed 2 more with white hairs.
Could they be hermie's?
Showing pre-flowers in vegetative growth is entirely normal, it simply means the plant has reach sexual maturity and is ready to flower - but it won't enter flowering as long as you keep it under 18/6 lighting.

They'd only be hermies if they were male plants to begin with! They're not hermies.

Why would they show sex with out bieng forced to flower?
See above.

To CannaBoss,
Cloneing procedure:Steril exacto knife, Clonex gel, peat pots and Rockwool cubes.
I have done the clone two different ways.
first I cut a lower branch off of my donor and cut the 45 angle. Submersed in water, dipped in gel, placed in a presoaked rockwool cube, use an inverted tub as a make shift dome and a heating pad.( I read that you want to keep your medium about 75 and the air about 70 with 90% RH.)
So I tried to maintain that enviorment with no luck.
Then I tried to do everything the same with only changing the medium to peat pots and no heat pad.
Still with no luck.
I am in the process of making that cloning machine on the DIY section.
Maybe this will work.
Hopefully this will work or I will find info on here that will help me get this right.
Is Master Kush a problematic strain?
Will the Aurora Indica be a better strain?
KEEP UP THE COMMENTS GUYS..... I NEED THE HELP.....

This thread helped alot. I just had a plant show her sex and she is only 1 month old under 18/6, planted from seed.

i have to agreed with you on that one, lol. everytime i tried cloning the blueberry from peak seeds the darn thing wont root. i got a couple doing it with soil in a plastic cup with sandwich bag over it but thats just a couple from 20 cuttings.

I got a blueberry from dutch passion and I've taken 2 sucessful clones from it using nothing but my work utility knife and a soda bottle full of water. I'm by no means claiming to be an expert as I haven't even finished up my first grow but I'm just saying I've gone way below the standard procedure and had no problems at all. It may just be the diff. genetics from the diff. breaders.
