Cloning with nothing but an airstone and a bucket of water

with a sterile/clean cloner & no organic material in rez you should do well.
no roots, so no nute uptake, try straight tap water..
the small amount of chlorine/chloramine in my tap works for me..
good fuckin' luck ;)

Bob,

Nice machine, fair price, but doesnt it devaite from the topic which is "airstone and bucket of water" ? I as people have shown you can build a bubbleponics / airstone and bucket for about half that price as listed below:

AirPump with stones, and tubing 9.99: https://www.amazon.com/Habor-Aquarium-Portable-Double-Headed-Hydroponics/dp/B01DUC7OJO/

2in Netpots and neoprene collars 25 in total for 12.99: https://www.amazon.com/EZ-Clone-Neoprene-Collar-Combo/dp/B004KTLWU4/

or

Neoprene Collars 50 in total, no net pots $10.99: https://www.amazon.com/Net-Pot-Cloning-Collars-Inserts/dp/B00DFKGZLA/

2in. drill bit $8.86 ( one of the more costly items ): https://www.amazon.com/Hardware-Orange-Silver-Forstner-Boring/dp/B00G9E68DY/

or

2in hole saw $6.65: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Vermont-American-18332N-2-inch-Carbon-Steel-Hole-Saw/19902160

Plus a 4 to 7 gallon rubbermaid or sterlite style storage tote with lid from Wallyworld, or similar $5-$7

Grand Total is roughly: $32.63 - $38.84 depending on if what items you get, but this also takes into account you have to buy everything, so its possible to get out of cheaper. The cheaper price does not use net pots, but also gives you 50 collars so you have ability to build a 50 unit system or 25 unit systems for slightly more if need be.

cool bro...just stating what works or me. DIY is cheaper for sure.
Im lazy & want it to work without dicking with it all the time.
Iv had a couple of these for a few years now, and they work.
only a suggestion, y'all's free to bubble in a cake tin if it works for ya.
Thats the key "what works for you".............

I feel ya bro, I wasnt meaning anything in a rude way, just that the op's topic asked regarding a certain style, so I just wanted to mention that your device was different, I am sorry if I came off like my d-bag, jerk or an A-HOLE as those were not intentions at all so my apologizes.

I was wondering about the clone king though does it use a timer? If so did it come with the timer, and what style or on off pattern is it?
Does it still require an air stone like some of the tubro klone style cloners I have seen?

Thanks man.

DAMN! 4 days?!?!
I've never had roots that quick!
Are you using anything in your cloner water? Clonex? Nutes?
Have you experimented with different mist droplet sizes?

....like you said with the bubble cloner, it's essentially an aero cloner if the stem isn't submerged in the water; it's the popping of the bubbles on the surface that mists the stems. I never even thought of this.
In fact, I want to go back now and try it this way and see if it works! You might have just given me a new method to try haha!
SCIENCE!!!!!

With my aero cloner, I just go RO or tap water with about a tsp of kelp to help rooting and maybe some aminos.
I've also noticed that I'm getting slightly better and more consistent results if I make the stems of the clones slightly longer (5-6 inches), but only have about 1 inch extending below the neoprene into the mist
Depends on genetics and temperatures. Sometimes I just get a wart on the bottom and no roots. Other times I have a root system in 1-2 weeks. I made 2 bucket cloners: 12 and 14 site. My success rate in summer is maybe 50 / 50.

I noticed you had your having 50/50 issues, are you having heat issues, or is there some other thing that is occuring, possibly a sign or set of symptoms so we can help you diag.

I have been using mine for years, as one of my earlier links shows, I have continued to run a 90%+ success rate rooting, some genetics are little faster, some a little slower but on average they are, 10-14 days for full fishbone roots and new growth.

Here buddy. This is how simple it is.
View attachment 3758831 View attachment 3758832 View attachment 3758833 View attachment 3758834 View attachment 3758835 View attachment 3758836 then you'd go ahead and fill it with Ph'd R/O water (5.5-6.5) to about an inch below the spray head and put it on a timer for 15 mins of every hour to be on. Roots in less than a week, everytime.
Which cycle timer are you using for the 15 min on 45min off cycle?
I have {this one} but it's in use for a rez. It used to be $12 on amazon. I guess Titan bought them or something and now they're over $40...Cycle timers are such a rip off!

Just a basic timer from harbor freight for $5 man. They work great. One of every 4 you click down to turn it on. Just a basic rotary timer with 15 min increments.

When I put a timer onmy design I did the same thing, cheap rotary timer, and just clicked a few at random, I didnt even go every 45min or whatever just scattered them, but I also was doing bubble not aero and prefered it on more then off, but it worked just fine, and as stated i get nice roots in about 10-14 days depending on strain.
